China has banned highway testing of autonomous vehicles while the country's relevant authorities work out the rules about autonomous car testing.
According to Auto News, a Europe publication, a draft of the rules has been drawn up and it is believed that it will rule out highway testing of autonomous cars which in turn will definitely delay development of such technologies by the local firms. While we don't really see the point of this exercise, Daihatsu has heard what its customers wants and has given them a Copen with a fixed roof.
