The Pagani Huayra is one of the highly anticipated cars this year. The successor to the highly successful Zonda, the Huayra has large shoes to fill, and it didn't disappoint.

Honestly I am not sold on the styling. Though the car looks absolutely fabulous in red and I highly think it should have been the launch colour instead of the metallic silverish colour, the front facia doesn't attract me like the Zonda did.

Things that I like are the active aerodynamics flaps that reminds me of airplanes, the side mirrors that were inspired by the eye of a female and the rear with the iconic 4 central exhausts.

I like the the gullwing doors which is refreshing compared to the usual Lamborghini scissor doors or the McLaren butterfly doors.

The interior looks avant-garde yet flashy and loud and reminds me alot of Dutch supercar Spyker.

The one thing I can't comment is the performance, well because neither have I nor my colleagues at SGcarmart have driven one, though given the opportunity we would love to. I have been spending some time on the web reading and watching reviews of the Huayra and though of sharing 2 videos that caught my interest.

One is from the self confessed Petrol Head Jay Leno and its has Horacio Pagani himself in the video to explain the car. The second reviews comes from a guy named Chris Harris from the Drive network who shares his honest experience with the Huayra, more of a video blog style, including his initial frustrations at the Italian airport.

Watch how egos got the better of both these cars (Maserati crashed!)

Not happy with being overtaken or high beamed at? Why not try jamming your brakes so that the car that offended you can crash into you?  That's what this Maserati Quattroporte driver did when the camera car behind beamed him. According SG Road Vigilante's post, the accident happened on the wee hours of 5th of Aug 2020 along Keppel Road. In the video, we can see the camera car trying to overtake both the Mercedes Vito and the Maserati but was blocked a couple of times. Both vehicles were apparently friends or colleagues from the same company and once the Maserati managed to overtake the camera car, the Maserati jammed his brakes suddenly, causing the camera car, which we reckon from that turbo flutter and gearshift, an Audi A4, to crash into it. The Maserati's occupants then came out, demanding the camera car driver to get out and "settle things". After some aggressive exchange of words, the Maserati just drove off as if nothing happened. Weird In our opinion, this is just one side of the story as we have no idea what the camera car driver did to anger the Maserati driver. Accidents like this usually takes two hands to clap. What do you guys reckon? Let us know!

Mitsubishi Evolution driver gets praises for his parking offence

Someone has spotted this chrome-wrapped Mitsubishi Evolution 9 MR parking at some motorcycle lots and sent it to SG Road Vigilante. The photo, which was taken on 30th of May 2020, obviously shows the Mitsubishi Evo occupying lots intended for motorcycles. You might be wondering why we are sharing this with you as HDB parking offences are not that big a deal as it is a common occurrence. In fact, we reckon most of us should have some form committed parking offences before and simply sort out our mistake by making an appeal for the parking offence. What is interesting however, are the comments on this photo on SGRV's facebook post, there were more netizens praising how cool the Evo looked or how rare the car is instead of the usual slamming and shaming comments. Don't you love our local car community?

Weird things are happening in Yishun again!

Weird things are happening in Yishun again. To be precise, at Blk 509B Yishun Ave 4 on the 20th July.  For no apparent reason, this guy in orange simply falls down on his own as 'invisible forces' make him lose his balance.
Also seen on SG Road Vigilante and circling around in many whatsapp group chat, this is clip is the perfect antidote for a boring and sleepy Monday. This should be a case of the guy wanting to try out an 'insurance scam' where by the pedestrian attempts to get hit by a moving car before proceeding to get compensation from the driver's insurance company.  Unfortunately for the guy in orange, he looks quite silly 'falling' twice and with the driver's in-car camera showing clearly no signs of impact, his attempt is bound to fail. Check out what netizens have to say...

Is this another case of street racing during CB?

Could this be another case of street racing spotted on our roads during the Circuit Breaker period? Spotted on Reckless Driver SG's facebook page, a video has been posted showing the camera car driving slowly on the middle land before a small group of cars went past it at a higher speed. Yes. this is milder than the incident on the KPE that had the drivers in the video arrested, with only three cars shown in the short 40-plus-second clip. In fact, we reckon the 'tiong chias' were doing approximately 120-140km/h while the camera car was doing 70-80km/h. The cars, likely a Ford Focus, a Honda FD Civic and a Honda Integra were caught on camera at around 11:20pm on the 25th of May heading towards AYE Jurong inside the CTE tunnel. 1.mp4 On another note, we were surprised to find most of the comments attacking the video owner, saying that the camera car was road-hogging. Do you agree? Let us know!
