The BMW 5GT was created with a number of combinations of car types in mind and that can be quite confusing to what sort of a segment this car fits in. But don't let that be the only reason why you should dislike it because its unique looks will help make it stand out in the sea of sedans that have become quite a boring sight.

Everything else you see and feel, from the dashboard and the door panels to the lavish wood and leather-swathed seats, is a significant leap ahead in style, design and comfort.

The boot volume has been increased to 500 litres, up from the previous 440 litres. Also generous is the ample head and legroom, which will make the three rear passengers very satisfied.

Predictably, despite its heft of over two tonnes, the 5GT handles with remarkable alacrity. While the heft of the car can still be felt around bends, the 306 horses and 400Nm of twisting forces make it very forgivable.

BMW's in-line gorgeous-sounding six-cylinders powering the 3.0-litre engine are also capable of delivering a strong and continuous wave of torque, allowing the car to pull away from 0 to 100km/h in just 6.1 seconds.

Traffic Police bike gets into accident while chasing offender

Now this is not something the residents of Ang Mo Kio get to see everyday! A Traffic Police officer has apparently skidded on the wet floor and crashed his Yamaha bike at the lift lobby of Block 619 Ang Mo Kio. As reported by SG Road vigilante, the incident happened on 27 May 2020 and eye witnesses claim that the officer was trying to chase another motorbike through the void deck when the police officer lost control and hit the wall. The comments by netizens were generally supportive of the officer going all the way in the fight for justice, with the usual few negative views here and there.

This is not the way to make friends with a fellow VW owner

For most owners who are into cars, they will tend to want to meet owners who own the same car/model as themselves. Hence from time to time, we will see many brand/model-based car clubs gather at places like the indoor stadium to chat and get to know more about their cars. However, we are kind of sure these Volkswagen drivers in the video below won't be friends anytime soon... Uploaded on ROADS.sg, we can see a Volkswagen Golf coming from the opposite direction before colliding straight on with the camera car (a Volkswagen Jetta). The accident happened on the morning of 22nd of April at the PIE interchange between Jurong Town Hall Road and Bukit Batok Road. There were no reports as of press time of what caused the Golf owner to drive into the opposite lane. We hope he did not faint or suffer a heart attack, causing him to lose control of his car. We did noticed the Scirocco (yes, another Volkswagen) moving away from danger as the Golf came closer. Good reflexes dude. Maybe if they stayed at home, such things won't have happened... videoplayback.mp4

Tribecar Toyota Wish speeds on wet road and crashes, pay come, pay gone

Happy Labour Day, Singapore! Some of us are thinking of how to utilise our pay that just came in. Then, there are jokers like this Toyota Wish driver who blows it all in an instant (and more). Speeding on PIE A dashcam video of the said driver has gone viral and here are some takeaways after watching the video. No one drives a Wish to speed. It's a family MPV for goodness sake. Don't do stupid things with other people's car, much less a rental Here's the 47-second video taken from SG Road Vigilante   The Wish loses control at the 0.09 mark of the video. Online chatter Wow. To the Toyota Wish driver, good luck paying for all the damages for a rental car.

Honda Stream gets Covid-19 slammed out of it by BMW 6 Series at Changi Village

This accident happened at Changi Village hawker centre carpark. You can watch the full video of the accident below courtesy of Roads.sg (if you haven't already seen it)   What’s happening Honda Stream exits the carpark and attempts to make a right turn on a two-way road. The driver seems oblivious to the fact that there's a stop sign and inches the car onto the main road. The Honda Steam driver then jams the brakes and in less than a second, what looks like a BMW 6 Series crashes into it. Hard. Different points of view If you replay the video, you'll notice that even after the crash, there were no cars that went past on the other side of the road. Meaning, the Honda Stream had more than enough time and space to avoid the accident. Jam break for what? The driver also ignored the stop sign and failed to do proper checks before moving off. On the other hand, based on the sheer force of impact, the BMW was going pretty fast too. What the people say This sounds legit. I think it's the Honda Stream driver's fault. The BMW driver sway balls. Also, there's a lesson here people - Stay the #$%& at home.
