Bridgestone just launched their new flagship touring tyre, the Turanza GR-90, in Bangkok. The GR-90 is the successor to the critically acclaimed GR-80. Touring tyres are essentially comfort biased.

The GR-90 has Intelligently designed rounded corners, combined with ideal construction rigidity to provide superior handling over a wide range of roads. The tread design features rows of low and high-angle winding grooves and flexible construction to deliver outstanding traveling dynamics and better water dispersion. This leads to a higher level of safety and comfort.

The GR-90 proved to be incredibly silent on rough road conditions as compared to the GR-80 at the media launch.

My Civic 2.0 used to run on a set of GR-80 some 3.5 years ago. The tyres are decent with acceptable grip and good comfort level. My only complaint about the GR-80 is the soft sidewall, making the front tyres appear under inflated even though I pumped up to 250 kPa. I hope that the GR-90 will come with a stiffer sidewall.

Mitsubishi Evo 10 performs a timely pop and bang which literally smoked a salty cam car driver

In the public's eyes, most often confuse/label Japanese sports cars as an 'Ah beng' car or an ordinary car that has been 'zhng-ed'. In Singapore, it is common for these cars to get hated by the public. Here's one such example: What Happened? In a user-submitted video, the driver/passenger of the cam car can be heard making some remarks about the blue Mitsubishi Evolution X in front of it. The remarks included a sarcastic attempt to mimic the Evo X's noise. Moments later, as the Evo X enters an expressway, it performs a quick launch, resulting in pops and bangs. Thick black smoke and flames could also be seen shooting out of its exhaust.  I must say that the 'smokescreen' was a rather timely response to the complaints coming from the cam car.  Illegally Modified? This might be the first question that pops into your mind for the uninitiated. However, the black smoke, flames, pops and bangs produced from the Mitsubishi Evolution X are due to the anti-lag system installed in the car.  Therefore, it is highly unlikely that the Mitsubishi Evolution X was illegally modified. However, there is still a chance that the car is 'illegally modified' if LTA thoroughly inspects the car.  For all you know, it could be labelled as 'illegally modified' due to heavily tinted windows.  Netizens' Comments Must be because cam car's first time experiencing pops and bangs.  NGL, Evo X is a nice car😍 Every day we learn something new.      ======== Receive a $10 PayNow for every submission we publish on Facebook! Simply WhatsApp us ➡️https://bit.ly/3c6JERA

YP gets put in his place after driver reports his absurd behaviour to the police

When life doesn't go our way, we have to suck it up and move on. Some of us, however, tend to go the other direction. A video of a young punk (YP) harassing a driver in a multi-storey carpark late at night has circulated on Facebook. The man who recorded the incident stated that he heard the YP shouting late at night while the driver honked at him to give way. In the video, a driver is trying to park his car in one of the lots. As he reverses, the YP waddles forward and blocks his path. He then madly waves at the driver and hits the bonnet of the car. Not wanting to confront the crazed punk, the driver remains seated in his vehicle.  After some time, the YP gets tired and sits at the side of the car. At this moment, the driver attempts to escape and drive off to a safe location. However, the YP immediately stands up and blocks the car while shouting at the driver. Slowly, the car inches forward as the driver attempts to drive away from this madness.  Not wanting the driver to leave, the YP continues to taunt him by blocking and leaning on the car's bonnet. Ten minutes later, police officers arrived on the scene after responding to the driver's call. I guess you could say that this YP won the battle but lost the war. Netizens' reactions Hello IMH, I think we found your missing patient.  In Singapore, harassment is a very serious offence and offenders will face a fine of up to $5,000, a jail term of up to 6 months, or both.      ======== Receive a $10 PayNow for every submission we publish on Facebook! Simply WhatsApp us ➡️ https://bit.ly/3c6JERA

Childish Shariot driver thinks out of the box on how to manage his anger after vehicle cuts into his lane

TL;DR – A Honda Shuttle makes a super-illegal left turn to block the path of cam car at a slip road. The cam car had initially cut into the Honda Shuttle’s lane and the Shuttle driver was having none of it.   If someone cuts into your lane abruptly, how would you react? Whack that high beam? Sound the horn? Curse the other driver in the comfort of your car and forget about it in five minutes? That’s what I would do. But, in this latest 3-minute video, we have a Honda Shuttle driver who takes his anger management issues to the next level.   So angry for what? Drivers experience this every other day The video begins with a common sighting – a vehicle (cam car) cutting into the path of another vehicle (Honda Shuttle) to enter a slip road. We do not know whether the driver of the cam car signalled their intention to lane change. Cam car enter the slip road, Shuttle drives past as if it’s going straight. Everything seems fine and dandy, right? WRONG! Out of nowhere, the Shuttle appears in front of the cam car and stops there. We then realise that the Shuttle is a Shariot car. It doesn’t even belong to the driver! Wait a minute, hold up For the Shuttle to end up there, doesn’t that mean it had to turn left here? That’s illegal AF though, right? RIGHT?! Uncle, why you so childish? Eventually, the driver steps out of the vehicle to reveal a singlet wearing Uncle. Who uses his phone to snap a picture of the cam car’s license plate. Both parties at fault? While we don’t know what happened before the recording, I must say that the lane change by cam car felt rather abrupt and could have posed a moderate level of danger for vehicles in its rear. But that does not justify doing something illegal to prove a point. Online Chatter Cheap car hard to find though. COE so high. Remember, two wrongs do not make a right.     ----------------------- Thinking of selling your car? sgCarMart Quotz guarantees the highest selling price for your car. Complacent cyclist ignores red light and gets wiped out by a Toyota Corolla on New Year's Eve

Some would say that he got instant car-ma for disregarding the rules. In a short clip posted on New Year’s Day, an elderly cyclist boldly crosses a traffic junction when the light is still red. The cyclist then gets a nasty surprise when a white Toyota Corolla crashes into his bicycle. Hopefully, the uncle learns his lesson and will heed the traffic rules from now on. Who is at fault if a driver hits a jaywalking pedestrian? According to the Road Traffic Rules, if a pedestrian crosses any place other than a pedestrian crossing, they shall yield the right of way to vehicles. The same applies to mobility vehicle users, PMD riders and cyclists. However, at any controlled crossing, pedestrians have the precedence to free and uninterrupted passage over the crossing by drivers of vehicles approaching the crossing. It should be noted that this only applies when pedestrians are crossing in the same direction as moving traffic. Pedestrians shall not travel in any other direction unless they can do so without interfering with the lawful movement of traffic. Even though the driver has the right of way, personal injury lawyers have noted that the driver may still be held liable for any bodily injury claim from the pedestrian. This includes payment for their present and future medical bills, pain and suffering, mental anguish, and lost wages. If the pedestrian is found guilty of jaywalking, they could be held partially at fault for the accident. However, drivers are considered more at fault in a jaywalking accident if there was an opportunity to avoid the accident and didn’t take it. While it is tricky to ascertain who is at fault here, the cyclist should not have crossed the road on a red light and the driver should have slowed down when entering the junction. This applies even when the light is green for the driver, as one might not be able to react in time if jaywalkers are crossing. Netizens’ reactions That's right! It doesn't matter if you are a pedestrian or a driver, everyone must adhere to the rules. 😤 When you think about it, it really isn't fair for drivers, even when they have the right of way. It's tough being a driver. 😭 Hope the driver didn't injure himself from braking too hard! 😅      ======== Receive a $10 PayNow for every submission we publish on Facebook! Simply WhatsApp us ➡️https://bit.ly/3c6JERA
