blogentry-133713-0-31228000-1535450693_thumb.jpgWith the help of a tuning company called RaceChip, Hyundai's i30 N gets more horsepower to make sure it can keep up with some of faster hatches out there in the market.

Bringing the total output of the car to an impressive 315bhp and 524Nm of torque, the guys at RaceChip managed to extract an extra 37bhp and 145Nm increase from the 2.0-litre turbocharged engine. Other than the ECU tuning, the company also used a certified downpipe to gain the extra power.

Without the downpipe, the car managed to still produce a very decent 305bhp.

As for the car seen in the video, a set of new OZ Leggera HLT rims wrapped with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tyres and uprated Eibach springs make sure the car handles as well as it goes.

Honda Shuttle driver blocks everyone from moving at Katong

Now this is a good one for debating. Do you think the lady in the Honda Shuttle is wrong, or its just the taxi driver being difficult? As shown on SG Road Vigilante's page, a clip shot by a Premier taxi driver, shows a lady in her Honda Shuttle blocking the drop off/pickup point of Katong Shopping Center on 7th of Aug 2020. The reason she is blocking everyone is that she wanted to reverse into the parallel lot beside the taxi but in order for her to do so, all the cars, including the taxi behind, her has to reverse. Now that can be quite a hassle to everyone... So without seeing the first part of this incident, could it be that the taxi driver was being difficult from the start and could have just reversed for her to go into the lot? Or do you guys reckoned that the Honda driver was just a little bit too self-entitled?

Watch how egos got the better of both these cars (Maserati crashed!)

Not happy with being overtaken or high beamed at? Why not try jamming your brakes so that the car that offended you can crash into you?  That's what this Maserati Quattroporte driver did when the camera car behind beamed him. According SG Road Vigilante's post, the accident happened on the wee hours of 5th of Aug 2020 along Keppel Road. In the video, we can see the camera car trying to overtake both the Mercedes Vito and the Maserati but was blocked a couple of times. Both vehicles were apparently friends or colleagues from the same company and once the Maserati managed to overtake the camera car, the Maserati jammed his brakes suddenly, causing the camera car, which we reckon from that turbo flutter and gearshift, an Audi A4, to crash into it. The Maserati's occupants then came out, demanding the camera car driver to get out and "settle things". After some aggressive exchange of words, the Maserati just drove off as if nothing happened. Weird In our opinion, this is just one side of the story as we have no idea what the camera car driver did to anger the Maserati driver. Accidents like this usually takes two hands to clap. What do you guys reckon? Let us know!

Buyer goes for a test drive and makes damm well sure the safety features were working!

Last weekend saw Singapore going into Phase 2, whereby almost every industry could become operational again. With showrooms closed for more than a month since the start of our lockdown, naturally this weekend also saw some decent traffic. Unfortunately, one test drive in particular went bad for this particular Honda shopper at Leng Kee... We don't have details on exactly what happened but it does look like this Red Honda Jazz that was probably going through a test drive, isn't going to be sold as a new car anytime soon. On the bright side, we can be sure that Honda's safety features sure work very well.

P.S. We reckon with the upcoming all new Jazz's Honda Sensing safety suite, this accident could have been avoided.

Singer rants on Facebook about cars making "loud explosive noise"

A popular local Singer/Songwriter has taken to her facebook page to rant about cars making loud explosive noises where she lives. 1 bang 2.mp4 In her post, Beverly Morata Grafton pointed out in her post she has been experiencing "exhausts have been popping off like gunshots from 10:30pm and counting. And like every weekend since mid April, they will do so until 4am plus in the morning..."  From her photos and videos that she provided, we gathered that these incidents happenen along Yishun Ave 1, where Sinopec Yishun is situated at. This stretch has a speed camera but car enthusiasts are known to still gun their cars there while heading towards the Yishun Dam. We will not go into the rest of her post as it can be a bit demeaning and vulgar. For those who are curious, you can view her post below. In the video that was taken on the 25th of April, we could identify a white Volkswagen Golf accelerating away quickly from the petrol station before letting off some loud bangs, much to the annoyance of the songwriter.     Being a post on the writer's personal page, it was no surprise to find the comments supporting her views.    But what do you guys think? More pops and bangs for everyone? Or should we cooperate for quieter neighbourhoods?
