Demand for Suzuki Jimny in the U.K. is "staggering"

blogentry-133713-0-89516900-1539772602_thumb.jpegThe all new Suzuki Jimny has attracted quite a huge following and according a U.K. publication, demand has outsold supply.

 

Autocar has reported that the the small SUV has already attracted 4,500 people to sign up as “interested” on Suzuki’s U.K. website, more than doubling the previous Jimny’s best annual volume in Britain.

 

blogentry-133713-0-86139400-1539772605_thumb.jpegThis has created a little problem for Suzuki as the Japanese company's British head Dale Wyatt, estimates the country will only get 1,100 cars in the first year, followed by 2,000 per year thereafter.

 

This is on top of reports saying that supply in Japan itself is also limited as the car is doing better than expected in its home country.

 

The little SUV is likely to come to Singapore with a 1.5-litre petrol four that outputs 100bhp and 130Nm of torque. If we are lucky, a manual five-speed gearbox might be available as an option as opposed to the standard four-speed auto.

    I discussed the possibility of living in tiny houses in Singapore in an earlier blog post.
