Pope Francis is lending his name and signature to a charity raffle to give away a one-off Lamborghini Huracán, gifted by the Italian automaker in November 2017. The uniquely holy Huracán is based on the rear-wheel-drive LP580-2, released in 2016, and it was modified by Lamborghini’s Ad Personam customization department for papal duties. The Bianco Monocerus white and Giallo Tiberino gold paintwork pay homage to the colors of the Vatican City flag.

All proceeds are to go to the Charities Aid Foundation America, which says it will distribute the donations to rebuild areas devastated by violence and war, aid victims of human trafficking, provide medical care and education to impoverished peoples, and perform other life-saving work. The winner of the raffle will also receive a trip for two to Vatican City, where the Pope will hand off the keys to the personally signed and papally blessed Lambo during a private event along with Lamborghini CEO Stefano Domenicali.

This specific Huracán previously rolled across the auction block at an RM Sotheby's event in Monte Carlo on May 12, 2018. A standard Lamborghini Huracán LP580-2 starts just over $200,000, though this example is worth a great deal more. Reportedly, the auction sale fell through after bidding in Monaco reached the equivalent of about $862,000, so now it's your turn to bid. The raffle ends on January 30, 2019.

  • Is 'tiny living' really irrelevant in Singapore?

I discussed the possibility of living in tiny houses in Singapore in an earlier blog post. But as we know, it isn't an option to begin with – no thanks, of course, to our lack of land space.  Someone also pointed out that the idea of tiny houses is "romanticised" – which, I don't deny (but hey, that's why it's a dream). While it's clear tiny houses aren't going to work out here, the concept of 'tiny living' is; not just physically but also mentally. Anyone who has lived enough years lo
