blogentry-133713-0-67460100-1549878275_thumb.jpgBMW’s Research and Development boss Klaus Frolich says that there’s no need for BMW to build an even more luxurious 7 Series.

The so-called 9 Series, which is supposed to sit above the current X7, 7 and 8 Series cars, is targeted at the ultra-rich and will provide BMW with a direct rival for the Mercedes-Maybach S600.

However, this might just be a rumor afterall.

“I don’t think you need a 9-Series. In this segment, you need three cars – an X car, a saloon and an emotional sporty car – and we have them: the X7, 7 Series and 8 Series. In fact, some competitors are already reducing the number of cars in this segment because volumes are so low.” said Frolich to U.K. publication Autocar.

The end of CB does not stop PMDs from riding on the road

With the end of the Circuit Breaker measures, more people have resumed working, creating more traffic on our roads. But that has not stop this rider from riding recklessly on his Personal Mobility Device (PMD) in Sembawang. As reported by SG Road Vigilante, the rider can be seen overtaking a car that is moving away from the traffic lights before keeping up to speed with it. In fact, the video which was shot on the 4th of June, showed the rider overtaking a motorcycle in the next lane. Judging from the 20 seconds plus clip, we reckon he could have been doing twice the legal speed limit of PMDs (25km/h). Naturally, netizens were quick to slam him... Should we be tolerating this? Watch the video of the PMD rider here! 101385818_2673239402892083_8980883442018037830_n.mp4

What to do with neighbours who install loud exhaust systems for their cars

If there's something strange in the neighbourhood, who you gonna call? Ghostbusters! If there's something unbearable like the loud exhaust from an RX-8 (I think it’s an RX-8), who you gonna call? LTA! LTA takes your complaints seriously In a post uploaded on SG Road Vigilante, a video and various images of 2 LTA officers checking out the undercarriage of an RX-8 has gone viral. Here's the link to the long video (might take awhile to load because it’s 4mins+ long, I suggest skimming through the video). The story behind this Apparently, a "pek cek" (exasperated) neighbour could not take the sound of the car’s exhaust and made a complaint to LTA. The neighbour even left a note for the owner of the car. Online Chatter I can feel the passion from this comment. Very interesting plot twist. I think the neighbour will have to lan lan suck thumb, wear earplugs.  Err. LTA stands for Land Transport Authority. If you want to complain Have a neighbour with too much money and owns a car that disrupts the peace of the neighbourhood? Call LTA @ 1800 2255 582 The officers will come down to investigate in no time.

Fatal accident could spell the end of the discretionary right-turn!

A video showing a white car failing to check for oncoming traffic while doing a right turn has gone viral. Unfortunately, the consequences were unpleasant as a Foodpanda motorcyclist was killed in the process.  The motorcyclist, a 41-year-old deliveryman from Malaysia, was unconscious when help arrived and eventually succumbed to his injuries at Ng Teng Fong General Hospital. He was reported to have been thrown 30 metres due to the impact and suffered brain injuries as a result. According to Stomp, the accident took place at the junction of Toh Guan Road and Boon Lay Way at 7.58pm on the 10th of March. The 36-year old Mercedes-Benz driver has been arrested for dangerous driving causing death. There has been a debate that discretionary right-turn junctions should be abolished as there has been an increase in accidents related to it. Could this signal an end to such junctions?

This is not how you keep your distance from others on the road

We know that all of us should be keeping a safe distance from each other in such times. But we reckon these guys that have been caught on video might have taken it abit too far. This video, as posted by SG Road Vigilante, shows a slow moving camera car (claimed to be doing 80km/h but it looks more like 60km/h to us) that was traveling on KPE towards TPE chancing upon a bunch or cars that were abit too keen to distance themselves from any traffic around them. Apparently this happened on the wee hours of 16th May morning and from what we can gather, the lead car is a R34 Nissan Skyline that zoomed past the camera car at a speed that seemed to double the legal speed limit of the KPE.  Its hard to tell from the video but other than the Skyline, we could also identify a few other cars including a Suzuki Swift, a Volkswagen Golf, a Volkswagen Jetta (that might have been the same guy that was charged for organising illegal street racing), a Mitsubishi Evo 9 and a couple of Honda Civics. Interestingly, most of the comments were attacking the camera car for being slow. We wonder why. On the other hand, there will always be keyboard warriors that come out with weird and silly comments like the example below... 95563179_890011821514718_986642270115562833_n.mp4
