blogentry-133713-0-28977500-1550741874_thumb.jpgHow does the latest Ferrari 488 Pista fare against its rivals? Autocar pits the track special against the Porsche 911 GT3 RS and the McLaren 600LT.

As one of the most capable track car on sale now, the Ferrari 488 Pista is jam-packed with all the latest technologies Ferrari has to offer. With 711bhp and 770Nm of torque, its acceleration numbers can be pretty impressive too.

To test that out, Autocar has put together a video to see which of the three aforementioned cars is the fastest in a 0-160km/h-0 test as well as a time attack around the Anglesey circuit.

Traffic Police bike gets into accident while chasing offender

Now this is not something the residents of Ang Mo Kio get to see everyday! A Traffic Police officer has apparently skidded on the wet floor and crashed his Yamaha bike at the lift lobby of Block 619 Ang Mo Kio. As reported by SG Road vigilante, the incident happened on 27 May 2020 and eye witnesses claim that the officer was trying to chase another motorbike through the void deck when the police officer lost control and hit the wall. The comments by netizens were generally supportive of the officer going all the way in the fight for justice, with the usual few negative views here and there.

Mazda CX-5 caught in flood waters!

Yes, we know SUVs are all what consumers today want. But as car enthusiasts, they are a no-no in terms of driving fun. Now, here's another example of why SUVs aren't as cool or tough as they look. As seen on SG Road Vigilante's page on 30th April, a Mazda CX-5 was spotted at Lorong Gambir going through a pool of standing water after the day's torrential rain. It all seemed fine and dandy until a photo of the car being towed away was featured. We have no idea how bad the car was damaged by the flood but judging from the photo, the bow wave created by the Mazda was pretty high and water could have gone into its intake system, causing some internal damage. We hope that is not the case and that it is just some electrical issues that caused the car to be immobilised.  We also hope the older generation Silver CX-5 that was in one of the photos survived the flood too!

Singer rants on Facebook about cars making "loud explosive noise"

A popular local Singer/Songwriter has taken to her facebook page to rant about cars making loud explosive noises where she lives. 1 bang 2.mp4 In her post, Beverly Morata Grafton pointed out in her post she has been experiencing "exhausts have been popping off like gunshots from 10:30pm and counting. And like every weekend since mid April, they will do so until 4am plus in the morning..."  From her photos and videos that she provided, we gathered that these incidents happenen along Yishun Ave 1, where Sinopec Yishun is situated at. This stretch has a speed camera but car enthusiasts are known to still gun their cars there while heading towards the Yishun Dam. We will not go into the rest of her post as it can be a bit demeaning and vulgar. For those who are curious, you can view her post below. In the video that was taken on the 25th of April, we could identify a white Volkswagen Golf accelerating away quickly from the petrol station before letting off some loud bangs, much to the annoyance of the songwriter.     Being a post on the writer's personal page, it was no surprise to find the comments supporting her views.    But what do you guys think? More pops and bangs for everyone? Or should we cooperate for quieter neighbourhoods?

We do not encourage this, but here's how you can ride 'like a boss'

As the demand for food deliveries increase due to our current circuit breaker situation, it is only natural to see an increase in the amount of bikes fulfilling the food delivery demand.  Check out how this motorcyclist takes in a hard day's of work by riding in a relaxed manner on the road. Spotted by someone on the SLE on the 4th of May, this grabfood rider can be seen in the video with his legs crossed while using his mobile phone simultaneously. This is definitely not the safest way to ride but we doubt he is breaking any laws from doing so. That said, some of the comments by neitzens on SG Road Vigilante's page didn't agree and weren't so kind... What do you guys think?
