Ouch. That must have hurt quite a bit for the Honda Vezel driver.

Spotted on various Facebook group is this video of a Honda Vezel doing an illegal u-turn at the junction of Telok Blangah Road and Sentosa Gateway on 26Nov 2020.

Unfortunately for this Vezel driver, a Singapore Police Force Patrol car was among the cars that had the right of way and needed to avoid the crossover.

Naturally, the SPF patrol car turned on its siren and stopped the Vezel immediately...

So what can we learn from here? Like what your Army Encik says, if you insist of not following the law, just make sure you don't get caught...

I’m happy for the Vezel driver. I drive past this junction just before Vivocity quite often and it’s not the first time I encounter such drivers despite several warning signs and camera monitoring of the junction.

The road junction design also sucks. No where to do a legal u-turn. Those not familiar will not know where. Those who know have to turn left after the mosque, go towards telok blangah to do the legal u-turn. There's also no signage to tell ppl about it. The person who designed the junction is such a "genius". And LTA is not bothered as well. Go towards Sentosa also got no u-turn. Talk about failure in road design.

  • Is 'tiny living' really irrelevant in Singapore?

I discussed the possibility of living in tiny houses in Singapore in an earlier blog post. But as we know, it isn't an option to begin with – no thanks, of course, to our lack of land space.  Someone also pointed out that the idea of tiny houses is "romanticised" – which, I don't deny (but hey, that's why it's a dream). While it's clear tiny houses aren't going to work out here, the concept of 'tiny living' is; not just physically but also mentally. Anyone who has lived enough years lo
