You mean when exiting gantry people always look at the rear mirror to see if anyone tailgating?

Too many occurrences and ppl are fed up with their behaviour...

I noticed most are COE cars with exception to the Toyota but on closer look it is a phv. 

It is because of cost or is it because of the drivers' attitude or is it both?

It is everything, if one can win is an achievement and thy will continue to do again and again... the thrills is more than fun, Just like those cheapo petrol pump shakers, trying hard to squeeze every drop and thy will give you a " Smirk look " see what i can do better than those who didn't

Got rear radars that when vehicles from behind come too close the alarm will sound off.

Might be those drivers like the thrill and get the highs if they managed to drove through the carpark barrier without paying. :I

Tbh, I highly doubt any driver will get that type of thrill doing so. 😂 But if they do, I am certainly lost for words.

My view quite different. I personally wont bother if ppl tailgate me out of carpark...

i dont own the carpark, neither does the lost revenue get loaded onto me. Good for them if they saved some, and no impact on me.   

Who cares as long as they don't hit my car. 

I say onus is on carpark operator to chase back the lost revenue in a cost efficient manner. These carparks operators, whether HDB/URA or Wilson Parking or Ngee Ann Kong Si make lots of money in a near monopolistic fashion. I am not worried about them. 

Singaporeans obsessed with being 'right' and 'good boys', all very moralistic. this guy actually get out to confront... maybe wanna do citizen's arrest or what... class monitor wor

Yup, absolutely understand your perspective on this matter.

TBH, I don't think Singaporeans care if carpark operators were to incur lost revenue because like you said they are already making lots of money. So its not so much on the lost revenue aspect.

Instead, I feel that Singaporeans are unhappy with these tailgating incident because they are being "used" by these tailgaters to evade fares.

Lost revenue won't get loaded onto you? Think again.

If these lost revenue is too much, they will raise car park charges next time to cover for these evaders.

Next time you park there again, you pay more.

Same with insurance premium. If too many accidents, insurance company will raise premium for all including the good drivers.

People don't understand how the universe work.

There is Karma. Evade our monetary obligations and there will be a bigger price to pay down the road. This rule never fails.
