Here's a rare occurrence - A BMW driver actually using his signal when changing lanes! Maybe it's because of who's behind him?

Watch the full video below to find out more!

The incident took place along Paya Lebar Road, at the junction of Arumugam Road, before Caltex station.

A rare occurrence

A BMW 116i can be seen in the video, using his signal lights, and changing lanes from lane 2 to lane 4 to turn into Caltex.

However, behind the BMW is not just one, BUT THREE TP ON THEIR BIKES.

giphy.gif

NGL, but the sight of TP bikes on the road somehow cause anxiety to road users (Touch your heart, don't say they don't).

Definitely a head-turner

As the BMW hatchback changes lanes, honking from disgruntled road users can be heard.

You can see all three TP officers staring and observing the BMW.

This is NOT the way

Luckily for that BMW driver, he wasn't stopped by any of the TP for his actions.

It must have been one stressful drive. Wouldn't want to be in his shoes.

Foodpanda rider finds two cute sleepyheads on his bike as he gets ready for work

I say, take the day off and let them sleep! As the end of the week creeps around the corner, most of us might lack the motivation to wake up early in the morning and report to work. However, one Foodpanda rider receives a sweet surprise as he gets ready for another day of deliveries. As the rider approaches his motorcycle, he finds two sleepy stray cats using the vehicle as their beds.  Unfazed by the scene, he wakes them up as he tries to turn on the motorcycle. Judging from his actions, it seems that this might be a common occurrence and that these cats are no stranger to the rider. With one cat comfortably splayed out on top of his Foodpanda bag and the other cosied up in a basket, they attempt to return to their beauty sleep. The rider continues to gently shake both animals awake as he needs to get to work immediately. Note: While it might look like it, the rider is not choking the white cat in this portion of the video.  If this isn't the cutest thing you've seen today, then I don't know what is!   Netizens' reactions It's so heart-warming to see this rider being so gentle with the cats. If I was a sleepy cat, I would definitely pick this spot to sleep in too!     ======== Receive a $10 PayNow transfer for every submission we publish on Facebook! Simply WhatsApp us ➡️https://bit.ly/3c6JERA

2030 might be the end of the world for car enthusiasts and the sports cars they love

JDM, Euro and Exotic sports cars    For the uninitiated, sports cars consist of 3 main categories: JDM, Euro, and Exotic. These sports cars come in a bunch of varying specifications. Let me give you some examples.     The Renault Megane RS is a 4-cylinder turbocharged, manual, front-wheel-drive Euro sports car.    Likewise, the Mclaren 720S is a V8 twin-turbocharged, automatic, rear-wheel-drive exotic sports car.    Last but not least, we have the iconic JDM street-legal rally car – The Subaru Impreza WRX, a 4-cylinder turbocharged, all-wheel-drive sports car that is available in both the manual and automatic transmission.    The list goes on and on, but you get my intention, don’t you? With dozens of offerings for sports cars of varying specifications, there is always an ideal sports car for you, no matter the specifications you require and whether you can afford it.    Why 2030?    Unless you have been living under a rock, you would have encountered the Electric Vehicle (EV) craze surrounding us lately.     According to the SG Green Plan 2030 (SGP 2030) announced during Budget 2021, we will be looking at significant changes to the status quo. Nope, I am not talking about the rise in petrol duty rates. I am referring to the phasing out of Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) vehicles by 2040, driven by these three aspects of the SGP 2030:    Cessation of new diesel cars and taxi registrations from 2025    Requirement of newly registered cars to be of cleaner-energy models from 2030; and    All vehicles to run on cleaner energy by 2040 What does it mean for us?    The SGP 2030, coupled with our beloved COE system, is the perfect formula for phasing out ICE cars in Singapore.     Unfortunately, this will spell the demise of JDM, Euro and Exotic sports cars alike. From 2030 onwards, the supply of ICE sports cars will be what we currently have in the market. As such, does this mean that the low supply of ICE sports cars drives its market value up? If you wish to drive your dream Nissan GTR, BMW M4 or Lamborghini Aventador in the future, you better pray hard that its current owner renews its COE. Then again, it would be best to consider the maintenance and upkeep cost required for these ageing cars before purchasing them in the future. Similarly, manual transmission cars will be phased out eventually. Here's why. EVs have an electric motor in place of an ICE vehicle’s “engine” by using a single-speed transmission that regulates their electric motor. Except for the Porsche Taycan, which uses a Two-Speed gearbox. As such, EVs come only in automatic transmissions, and the phasing out of existing manual transmission ICE cars means the demise of manual transmission cars.    Electric Sports Cars    Yes, they are insanely fast. Yes, it produces instantaneous torque. But can we consider them as true-blue sports cars? Aside from the speed and torque, car enthusiasts also seek the pleasure of high engine revs, the burbling exhaust sound and, most importantly, the liberty to modify various car performance components – None of which an electric sports car is capable of fulfilling. Furthermore, the single-speed transmission that regulates its electric motor seems like a bore that takes the fun out of driving compared to manual gear shifts or the quick gear shifting of DCT transmissions.  For those Gen Y & Z car enthusiasts out there, I will do one for you. — Here’s a plea to those of you that currently own any sports car; please renew your COE so that the future generations of car enthusiasts will have a chance to own the car of our (childhood) dream someday. Last Thoughts The golden question here is, will a manual (class 3) license still be relevant in the near future? If it is irrelevant and deemed obsolete, this will remove any segregation between the community’s existing “Class 3 vs 3A” mentality.  If you are unaware of the "Class 3 vs 3A" commotion, read the article below:     --- Thinking of selling your car? sgCarMart Quotz guarantees the highest selling price for your car. The festival of lights means nothing to the LTA and TP especially if it involves a rally of 50 motorcyclists

I guess the authorities aren't a huge fan of this tradition!  In the first few seconds, large crowds have gathered on both sides of the road as a mass of motorcyclists roar through the street. Another video showing a different perspective of this gathering captures the magical moment when the large party passes through the crowd. Riding through the roads, a cambike manages to get a glimpse of all the bikers waiting patiently at a traffic junction just before the 'parade' starts. However, it appears that a few of these motorcyclists might have attracted some unwanted attention from the Traffic Police (TP). Several officers issued fines to these cyclists as they stood around in a large grass patch. Some of these motorcyclists could be seen not wearing masks while they're waiting. Gathering during COVID-19 While it is unclear as to why these motorcyclists are getting stopped and fined, one possible explanation could be due to the fact that this event resulted in a major gathering in public. According to the latest COVID-19 rules in Singapore, individuals are required to wear a mask and stay at least 1 meter away from one another while in public. Additionally, the TP has stopped motorcyclists during a similar event last year over the Hari Raya weekend.  Netizens' reactions Upon hearing of this incident, netizens were quick to point out the difference in standards between the treatment of motorcyclists and cyclists by the authorities. Most of them did not see a problem with the event, since it was intended to spread some joy during the festive season. While we don't know the real reason as to why the authorities have stopped these bikers, it is evident that events like this attract large crowds and could potentially be a new hot spot for the COVID-19 virus.     --------------------- Thinking of selling your car? sgCarMart Quotz guarantees the highest selling price for your car. Inexperienced Mazda 3 driver shows us why we die die must have car insurance

Another day, another joker on the road getting what he deserves for his reckless driving. What happened In the wee hours of the morning, a Mazda 3 driver is seen driving down Admiralty Road right beside a large garbage truck. Wanting to filter to his right, the car flashes its right indicator lights to signal its intention. This is when things start to go horribly wrong. Instead of letting the truck pass, the Mazda driver fails to check for safety and starts to drift to the right. The weird thing about his behaviour is that he actually slows down right in front of the large truck as his vehicle performs the lane change. As a result, the car ends up getting hit in the rear by the garbage truck and continues along the road for a while before coming to a stop. It is unclear if the Mazda driver had hit the brakes on purpose or by accident. Additionally, the fact that the Mazda kept going after getting hit could mean that the driver did not realise that he had been hit.  A great example of why all drivers die die must have insurance It is important to note that the Mazda 3 driver carries a P plate, which is a probationary license plate that should be put on display at the top-right portion of the front and back windscreens of new drivers. The plate can be taken down after a year of valid driving experience. As such, it is critical that all drivers, especially P-platers, have insurance in case of accidents like this. Annual premiums for car insurance typically start at $850, and the amount that you pay is determined by your age, your occupation, the amount of driving experience you have, your car model, and your claims history. For P platers and drivers below the age of 27, car premiums are through the roof as insurers deem these drivers to possess a higher level of risk of getting into accidents. Netizens' reactions P-platers, no matter the situation, there is no reason good enough to justify driving and switching lanes recklessly. Stay safe out there!     -------- Save up to $600 on your Car Insurance renewal and compare insurance quotes from 12 different insurers hassle-free. Get your free car insurance quote with sgCarMart today!
