It's a bird, it's a plane, it's a flying spare tyre on the SLE!

You can add this to the list of weird sightings on Singapore's expressways, including reversing on an expressway and riding a motorcycle in the nude

Watch the video to find out what happened:

This incident occurred on the Seletar Expressway (SLE).

What happened?

When this mishap took place, the cam car was behind a white Subaru Forester, cruising on lane 1 of the expressway.

It was a pleasant and smooth drive until the Subaru Forester drove over the tyre, sending it flying directly towards the cam car and smashes right onto the cam car's bonnet.

*That Subbie certainly do be flexing its SUV capability*

Moments later, the cam car skilfully filters from lane 1 to the left shoulder of the expressway after spotting someone who seems to be looking for something underneath his van 🤔

That would be disastrous. Also, it was lucky that the tyre did not smash into the cam car's windshield.

It could end up as an accidental PR publicity for Subaru, who knows?

It's all fun and games until someone gets hurt...

On a side note...

In such a situation, what are the possible actions cam car could take against the culprit? Would insurance coverage be applicable?

What has AWD got to do with this I wonder? The car simply rollover the tyre, nothing to do with AWD. Even if the car loses traction and lose control the stability and traction control would kick in. AWD is only useful on lose surfaces like gravel or sand.

  • Carpark Review: Junction 8

Built in the 1980s, Bishan (or Bishan New Town) may not be one of the earliest housing estates in Singapore, but it was the first whose HDB architecture saw a departure from the more brutalist designs of the past and featured more variation in height and design.  Residents are primarily served by Junction 8, which opened in 1993. Now more than 30 years old, it remains the sole mall in the Bishan East area. Driving there? Here’s our quick review of the carpark.  Manoeuvrability: T
