How dare you honk at him? Can't you see he's making an illegal U-turn?

How dare you honk at him? Can't you see he's making an illegal U-turn?

A certain camcar driver finds himself on the receiving end of an angsty display after honking at a Toyota Corolla for making an illegal U-turn.

The entirety of this short clip accurately shows how fragile some drivers' egos can be.

The video starts with the camcar driver travelling down Punggol Field, right behind a grey Toyota Corolla.

The vehicle travels between the last and middle lane, with the driver suddenly staying in the middle lane as both vehicles approach the traffic junction.

Presuming that the Corolla would be going straight, the camcar driver tries to make his right turn - only to have the grey car cut him off as the driver attempts to perform an illegal U-turn.

Confused, the camcar driver pressed his horn just as he stops in time to avoid a collision.

This upsets the other driver, who wildly waves his arm out of his window.

However, he doesn't stop there as he rolls down his window, gets out of his car and proceeds to angrily gesture and justify his U-turn.

All I can say is that has to be the most small d*@! energy thing I have seen this whole year.

Illegal U-turns in Singapore

While some netizens have commented that there could have been a U-turn sign, our research says otherwise.

Upon entering the location into Google Maps, we see that the entire stretch that both vehicles were on did not have any 'U-turn ahead' signs.

According to the Road Traffic Rules,

While some drivers tend to make a large U-turn in order to avoid curb rash on their rims, it is highly discouraged as this might result in a collision with oncoming vehicles on the right-turning lane.

Drivers found guilty of making an unauthorised U-turn will face a fine of up to $150.

At this point, not even extra driving lessons could save a driver with such a fragile ego.

I live nearby there and often pass by that road. Seen many cars did illegal u-turn and often cannot complete it without doing a reverse or mount kerb.

I usually make 2 right turns and go one round instead. Too many cars at that junction and always full of pedestrians waiting to cross the road at the traffic light.

Audi driver flaunts his 1-litre turbocharged 'sports car' by revving loudly in the neighbourhood

Imagine it is the weekend, and all you want is to get some rest in your peaceful, quiet and comfortable house before the workweek starts.  BUT NO. In the distance, you hear a low, noisy exhaust burbling sound coming from downstairs your block. And this is what you see: What's the first thought that comes to your mind? Frustration? Anger? Disappointment? You tell me.  What Happened? Apparently, this frustrated Bedok resident managed to take a video of this rowdy Audi driver that has constantly disturbed the estate's peace.  From afar or a single glance, the car's quad exhaust makes it appear as though the driver is driving an RS3, S3, or even a "Quattro tuned" Audi Sportback.  If it were any of those cars, the noisy exhaust would have been understandable.  But wait, here comes the twist: That "sports car" is none other than a 1-litre A3 Sportback. Putting Things Into Perspective The Audi A3 1-Litre Sportback has 114BHP and 200 Nm of torque, with 9.9 seconds for its 0 - 100km/h timing.  And the fact that a noisy aftermarket exhaust is equipped to this ordinary car definitely poses as an annoyance to Bedok residents.  Worse still, it pops and bangs even when its speed is <20km/h.  So do you think this Audi A3 has an illegal or LTA approved exhaust? Do you think his exhaust system is "operated"?  Netizens' Comments Sooner or later his car sure kena tow to the workshop. What's the point of stretching a 1-Litre engine to its limit? Damn, that escalated quickly.      ======== Receive a $10 PayNow transfer for every submission we publish on Facebook! Simply WhatsApp us ➡️ https://bit.ly/3c6JERA

Ang moh cyclist vents his frustrations at road users at Serangoon Gardens

This is easily the most ridiculous video I am about to cover in my blog post. Watch this cyclist go around Serangoon Garden's roundabout, again and again, to vent his frustration by harassing other road users: Caught In The Act This Ang moh cyclist was spotted cycling around the roundabout at Serangoon Gardens, shouting indistinctly and hitting cars as they drove past him. Furthermore, this was not a once-off incident — In fact, he was caught on camera going multiple times around the roundabout performing this circus act of his. The cyclist's unruly behaviour endangered his life and caused inconvenience to other road users.  The Perfect Example This man is the perfect example of everything we should not do: Cycling on the road without proper Personal Protective Equipment such as helmet and covered shoes. Not equipping his bicycle with lights while cycling in the dark. Wearing of a face mask (Optional, since he is "exercising"). Cycling on the first lane. But hey, at least he signalled his intention of changing lanes, unlike certain drivers, right? Accountability Unlike motorists who have their vehicles registered with the government authorities, cyclists do not have to register their bicycles with the authorities. Who is accountable if the cyclist damaged passing vehicles or caused an accident and then escaped from the incident scene?  Considering this cyclist was caught on camera (with many eyewitnesses), would he be punished for his actions?  *If not for the passerby who caught him on camera, I am pretty sure he will leave scot-free from this unwarranted act of his. Netizens' Comments I LOL-ed at these 2 comments.  Unless cyclists are caught red-handed by the authorities at that point in time, it is quite impossible to enforce against them.     --- Thinking of selling your car? sgCarMart Quotz guarantees the highest selling price for your car. Myth: Drivers will be penalised for knocking down cyclists even when they don't look out for traffic

Urban myth As drivers, we all have heard of the myth that the police will always penalise the driver for knocking down a cyclist (or pedestrians too) - even if they don't look out for traffic.  It's common beliefs like this that make drivers extremely anxious when they encounter run-ins with cyclists. However, one fellow driver proved this belief wrong as he shared his experience after getting in an accident with a cyclist. According to the Facebook post by Jacky Ang, he was driving out of a carpark in Ang Mo Kio in July when a cyclist appeared unexpectedly. Not wanting to hit the cyclist, Mr Ang stepped on his brakes. After seeing the cyclist fall in front of his vehicle, he stepped out of his car and offered to help. The day after The day after this incident, Mr Ang said that he had contacted the cyclist and offered to send him to the clinic for his injuries. However, the cyclist rejected his offer. A few days later, the cyclist sent Mr Ang a message wanting to claim his car insurance for his medical bills. Luckily for him, Mr Ang had already made a police report on the day of the accident. In the end After conducting initial investigations, the Singapore Traffic Police told Mr Ang that they will be charging the cyclist for failing to stop and look out for oncoming traffic. Relieved, Mr Ang posted about his experience online, encouraging other drivers to not be afraid of placing a police report for road incidents. Netizens’ reactions Mr Ang's post quickly went viral with netizens, who took to the comments to share about their own experiences as well.  Drivers (and cyclists) can learn a valuable lesson from Mr Ang's experience - Do not be afraid of lodging a police report if you ever find yourself in a similar situation.     -------- Thinking of selling your car? sgCarMart Quotz guarantees the highest selling price for your car. Brighten your day with this colourful exchange of words from two Japanese car drivers

TL;DR – A Mazda 3 driver and a Mitsubishi Attrage driver yells at one another at a HDB estate for reasons unknown.   Let’s dive right into the 49-second video. This incident looks like it occurred at a HDB estate (location undetermined), possibly near the entrance of a MSCP. Kimak! The video begins with the grey Mazda 3 driver stepping out of his car, clearly unhappy with the driver in the red Mitsubishi Attrage. . Mazda driver loses all chill and starts cursing at the Mitsubishi driver’s mother (in Malay) and other assorted dialects referencing the female anatomy. The Mitsubishi driver does play a part in this heated exchange as well. He did not project his voice as well as the Mazda driver though, so his voice is muted. What could have sparked this? Looking at the screenshot closely, I think the grey Mazda driver got mad because he was trying to make a left, but he felt obstructed by the Mitsubishi, who was turning right but positioned his car at a weird angle. Red car not in the wrong Technically, one could argue that the Mitsubishi was still within its lane, AND in his defence, he also stopped at the stop line. Online Chatter I also say. That would be a plot twist indeed. Sadly, a lot of things are wrong with the world.     -------- Thinking of selling your car? sgCarMart Quotz guarantees the highest selling price for your car.
