TL;DR – A Toyota Altis travelling on the fast lane of the CTE towards Woodlands suddenly found its bonnet flipped up.

Never have I ever seen something like this happen on the roads before.

Watch this  30-second video to see what bizarre incident occurred along the CTE recently.

What happened

A Toyota Altis travelling on lane 1 of the CTE/SLE (towards Woodlands) came to a halt as its bonnet got flipped up!

Some possible theories?

1.       As the caption of the post suggested. The Altis driver did not secure the bonnet properly before driving off

2.       The Altis driver was travelling at an insane speed, and the wind caught blew the bonnet up

3.       The catch of the bonnet is loose and needs a replacement

Whatever it is, it’s still a rare sight. This driver needs to buy the CNY Toto draw. Sure huat.

The person that created the video did have some sense of humor, especially from the 16th second onwards, the drum note totally ice the humor.

I  had seen cars [even taxis] with bonnet not completely shut, with a little gap probably to keep the engine compartment cooler. They might be using an adapter to latch to the original bonnet hook.

It's kind of weird because even if you don't press down on the bonnet to securely lock it down, the moment you lower the bonnet slowly to a closed position, the weight of the bonnet pressing down, force of gravity alone, will trigger a catch mechanism that will engage (hear a click) and you cannot re-lift the bonnet without manually disengaging the catch mechanism (it's some kind of spring-loaded lever).

  • A Volkswagen Jetta's need for speed leads to a dangerous collision after beating a red light

You’d think after we’ve written so many posts about drivers running red lights and failing there’d be fewer cases. This is why you guys should share our articles so that your friends will be made aware of the consequences of driving recklessly (i.e, being our next post)! What happened? A Volkswagen Jetta tried to run a red light after failing to give way to a red MPV that I believe is  a Honda Stream. Don’t quote me on that second one though. The footage shows the Jetta speed

Driver fled after crashing a Porsche Macan into a traffic light and overturning

TL;DR - No way home for this driver as s/he fled the scene after crashing the SUV onto a traffic light and a concrete barrier.  No money, lots of problems.  Too much money, more problems.  Watch this 38-second video of the Porsche Macan going from a high performance car to a useless one.  What happened? The car collided into a temporary traffic light and a concrete barrier at Ophir Road after Beach Road.  It was told that the driver had escaped from the Macan,

Self entitled female Karen parks her Harrier on a double yellow, blocks cars from exiting car park at Clementi

TL;DR - This female Harrier driver double parked her car to go shopping at Clementi’s Sheng Siong supermarket, got unhappy when being called out.  If you didn't already know, the popular term ‘Karen’ is used to describe an entitled and obnoxious middle-aged woman. This lady definitely hopped into the Year of the Rabbit as one.  Watch this 41-second clip to see what I mean. What happened?  This driver decided to park beside a row of vehicles already parked parallel t

Non-stop rain erodes SG roads causing 'bumper and undercarriage deadly potholes' to appear

TL;DR - More road potholes spotted around Singapore after days of continuous downpour, resulting in imbalance of roads and bumpy vehicles.  Potholes are just the worst. Watch this 63-second video of different vehicles driving past multiple road potholes. What are potholes? The smallest road flaws can develop into potholes. Due to water seepage and ongoing pressure from heavy cars, these crevices enlarge. A pothole is created when specific sections of the road deteriorate
