Inimatad 1st Gear April 15, 2006 Share April 15, 2006 If you change your leaves weekly you can afford to snap or crush a few of the pandan leaves. It emits more scent this way.

Solar Turbocharged December 29, 2018 Share December 29, 2018 Went botanic gardens recently and amazed that they use pandan plants in many areas. The pandan aroma was very strong and very nice as we strolled by. That inspired me an idea to do the same at home. I'm a noob in gardening... Sooner plants can grow when u cut mid section. Is it possible to buy the leaf from NTUC and start planting in soil?
Vratenza Supersonic December 29, 2018 Share December 29, 2018 find those that sell in an intact bunch. see the white portion? just soak the white bottom in some water, change the water every 3 days or so to prevent mozzy breeding, see roots, transplant in potting mix. If intending to use in cooking, use only organic fertilizers if you want it to grow fast. Pandan one of the easiest edible plant to be grown. Once see roots out can transfer to soil liao. Pandan doesnt like too much sun light and prefer shades, take note, or they will dry up very fast.

Is it possible to buy the leaf from NTUC and start planting in soil? I used to sell vegetables in wet market.Try to buy pandan leaves from wet market. Those in super market are usually young small ones not fragrant and no roots and v expensive. For placing in car, choose those that are bigger stalks. U can smell to compare for yourself. Twist the stem to release more of the juice for better effect. For short term planting at home using water, choose those that have roots. They last longer. The roots are simply bumps at the head.
