No idea about the Bhp,but Fc is high,i think 350-400 km for full tank.Do u think that ok?

u are rite in saying so.

if i do go a distance with one full tank, i

calculated it to be slightly above 400.

but there are reasons why i dun do so nowasdays

''Keeping the tank more full prevents air from

entering into the tank space. The less air in

the tank is good for one main reason. It reduces

the water in the air from getting into the gas.

The fuel filter may need to be changed if you notice

a difference. The fuel pump is more efficient when

the tank is full. I have done it both ways for long

periods. I usually refill when my tank is half empty.

It costs less too. And acetone always makes the water

content in the gasoline less noticeable in terms of

better MPG and smoother operation.''

IMO, i believed air also acts as a displacement agent too.

i.e. it will either evaporate the oil in the taank slowly

but surely, and pushes the oil into engine needlessly.

cheers

Actually for carb car, you guys can drive until the idicator lights up then pump. Most carb engine uses a pump which is work mechanically which is fix at the engine area. For EFI car, it uses an electric fuel pump which is installed inside the fuel tank. It's adviceable to pump the car at around 1/4 mark because the fuel actually acts as a coolen for the fuel pump. This is to increas the lifespan of the pump.

well like why some pple like to pump VPower and some

juz choose Ron92 petrol

i spoke to my fren, he perfer to refill when fully

empty, or close to that.

cos...."drum roll" .. the weight of a full tank

will slow the car down! that make sense as well!

so wat's wat?

for me personally, the 'theory' of filling up at half tank

make some sense.

also i read, but forgot to mentioned, that some sort

of deposits will be usu found in the fuel tank and

to wait till the fuel tank is close to empty some of

the deposits will be pump of the tank to the engine.

and that not beri good.

how true/significant all these theories are, is up to u

and me to say so.

e.g. like when u have cough/cold, will u really recover faster

if u dun eat chicken/the skin of chicken???

cheers

It doesnt matter. If you look into a fuel tank of, you'll realise that there is a "compartment" in which the pump rests in. and this compartment is always near full and unless you're driving near a full tank, its level is always much higher than outside the compartment.

If we follow your analogy, we have to pump fuel ever 3/4 to 1/2 tank.

the weight does make sense. u'll save abt 10-15kg in weight if you drive with a 1/2 vs full tank if your tank is 40l.

Why else do u think fuel levels are controlled in F1 as part of the teams strategy.

As for RON rating. wait for genie lor...
