Better grip?

Nope, juz a comfort-based tire.

Initially used the Toyo proxes (very loud and sidewall very stiff cos its slanting inwards instead of vertical).

Now using falken zirex, significantly quieter & softer, but din expect my FC to shoot up so much!

Most family sedan production cars, minimum octane is 91... but even manufactures recommend 95...

98 is more for high performance cars and will have no better effect then 95 if your car doesnt require it.

i saw a few test on normal cars, stating 95 gave more milage than 98...

using too low octane will cause knocking which is harmful to your car. but modern engines can sense it and adjust the ignition timing accordingly... but then no more fuel savings unless 92 is really much cheaper...

Better grip?

better grip tires doesnt necessarily means better FC.coz more grip=more rolling resistance=more FC.

but overall,i find Ron95 is good enough for my ride.Especially the Fuelsave 95.i find that i can cover more distance with it.dunno about other rides though.

last time for my 1st car, i pumped 98 then when petrol went sky rocket sometime last year, i started 95 then realised that not really much difference unless u are the kind want faster pick up, then 98 is great.

I personally prefer Caltex, sometimes Shell if i can't find Caltex.

I personally feel that Caltex pick up better than Shell.

Any comments on different petrol brands? Based on same type of Petrol eg: 95 or 98 etc etc

rather than talk about what petrol save FC , better to talk about what car make/model save petrol

right?

because a heavier car with a larger engine is almost more fuel consuming than a lighter car with smaller engine
