Elfenstar 3rd Gear May 29, 2006 Share May 29, 2006 Different car manufacturers have diffent colour codes as the paints though similar may have very slight variations in the mixture. Any good bodyshop would be able to match the colour, but incase you're going el-cheapo, the code will be on the info plate thats in the engine bay (usually on the top radiator support). Elfenstar 3rd Gear May 29, 2006 Share May 29, 2006 There isn't a fixed set of paints. they mix a set of set solid and metallic paints to match the codes.

Elfenstar 3rd Gear May 29, 2006 Share May 29, 2006 (edited) depands lah. there are differnt types of automotive paints. I believe that the source is local or in the region as most paints from so called developed countries are very exp. At trade rates in melb, for a high quality paint from local manufacturers, it can be in excess of $250 per litre, $500 to $800 per litre of v.high quality paint.
