There is no gas conversion kit for Octavias in Europe. However, according to the following site, the Octavia II 1.4 LPG Autogas model can be converted from a conventional 1.4l petrol version.

This is a German site. Please use the following online translator for German -> English translation:

Quote from the site:

Kraftstoffverbrauch (komb.) 7,4 l/100km - CO2-Emission (komb.) 178 g/km. Bestellfahrzeug. Umr

CA will be in a better position to answer this question. Cost of the car will be a prohibitive factor for the FSI model to be sold here. I reckon the 1.6 FSI Octavia II should cost close to SGD80k. This is not a price what most Singaporeans will pay for a 1.6l family sedan. Not forgetting that RON98 must be used on FSI engines.

i anticipate this to change next year with more sights of the car in the taxi mould. Coupled with the new ambiente and the FL superb coming end of this year, the brand will be further enhanced.

and of course, with the help of this forum. :)

regards

ally
