Vit4wd 1st Gear December 20, 2006 Share December 20, 2006 (edited) S$4.5K annual dep is excellent value for a continental car. But I cannot comment on the maintenance cost as I am ignorant on this. Edited December 20, 2006 by Vit4wd
Darth_mel 1st Gear December 20, 2006 Author Share December 20, 2006 Actually, I was hoping for a manual version. Heard the auto gearbox is problematic on this model.
Landex Clutched December 20, 2006 Share December 20, 2006 auto is always for me... Tis model got manual????? if at tis kind of pricing.. it sure is I tink the cabin space is the BEST in the 1.6 class!!
Darth_mel 1st Gear December 20, 2006 Author Share December 20, 2006 I saw 1,2,3,4,5 and R on the gear handle. So that makes it a manual gearbox right ?

Leech Clutched December 20, 2006 Share December 20, 2006 A used megane is abt $55k. Is this a good buy ? FOr this price, get a Nissan Latio. Same chassis I believe (almost same car). And build quality good. Latio should be even cheaper than $55k given lower COE. Nothing beats a new car right? Latio has excellent rear legroom too (but boot a little smaller than Megane). Trust me. I am 1.8m and drive with seat all the way to the back.
Darth_mel 1st Gear December 20, 2006 Author Share December 20, 2006 I'm sorry to say this but I don't find the Latio appealing at all.
Weixiang_06 Clutched December 20, 2006 Share December 20, 2006 (edited) how come people always like to drive with seat pushed all the way to the back? pardon me for saying this... i always find it super inconsiderate if drivers seat like this... mmz... i once sat in a cousin's ts.. her husband also sat like this.. and the rear legroom became so jialat until my k11 march could even win it..... he is much shorter compared to me... as in i am 1.76m.... he is like 1.7m when i drive, i sit quite close to the front... and i like it.. perhaps a personal preference? so rear leg room is never an issue for me... Vit4wd 1st Gear December 20, 2006 Share December 20, 2006 Then again, you might as well get a brand new 2l Kia Magentis for just $3K more. Prices may drop further with the latest drop in COE prices.
