Cola80 Neutral Newbie December 21, 2006 Share December 21, 2006 Not really that cheap. 5 year old GDI engine is not a good choice too.
Fcw75 Hypersonic December 21, 2006 Share December 21, 2006 But that car is so ugly, looks like a hearse car. The 1.8 turbo one would be a better choice.
Vit4wd 1st Gear December 21, 2006 Author Share December 21, 2006 (edited) Yes, I know the GDi engines are problematic ('cos of Singapore's fuel quality), but you will suffer minimal loss if you sell anytime, even after 1 yr. In contrast, my friend who bought a Kia Cerato in Aug 2004 for $64.5K has lost S$30K even before 2 1/2 years. This car fetches S$34K at most now. Cola80 Neutral Newbie December 21, 2006 Share December 21, 2006 Yes, if buyers don't mind, used cars are actually value for money. But believe there are better alternatives. Thanks for sharing.

Pippo20 Neutral Newbie December 21, 2006 Share December 21, 2006 its abt 1k above paper value, ur maths fail ah?
Vit4wd 1st Gear December 21, 2006 Author Share December 21, 2006 The S$48K price is $900+ above paper value to be exact, but that is BEFORE bargaining. No one of sound mind would not bargain when purchasing a car. S$48K is not nett price.
Vit4wd 1st Gear December 21, 2006 Author Share December 21, 2006 These people could have reduced their loss by continuing to use their existing cars perhaps? S$35K loss in 2 yrs is no joke.
Magfocus 5th Gear December 21, 2006 Share December 21, 2006 Actually, there ARE people who buy without bargaining, those are the filthy rich ones.. Whats a few k to them? Chump change! ↡ Advertisement
