Koolaba 1st Gear January 14, 2007 Share January 14, 2007 Hi all, Chanced upon a new Fabia which was smashed by falling trees in the Alps. Nevertheless, the passenger cell remains intact with minimal signs of intrusion. I cannot imagine the result if it is a Japanese compact saloon. ↡ Advertisement
Try_conti 2nd Gear January 15, 2007 Share January 15, 2007 Is it a falling tree or branch ? Big diff leh .... But anyway, the 'tree' seems to hit the back of the car which happens to be sloping down. Hence, the impact is not that big as the tree would probably be deflected away / roll towards the back. Anyway, hope the driver & passenger is alright. I'm sure the insurance company would say 'act of god' ... Do they do that over there ?
Koolaba 1st Gear January 15, 2007 Author Share January 15, 2007 In the Alps, there are trees with tall and slim stems, especially those growing in the valleys. The occupants in the car were alright. I cannot confirm that the "Act of God" is applicable in the insurance policies offered by Austrian companies. But it should be present. ↡ Advertisement
