Black Mitsubishi Grandis with "8" sticker

Just to relate an encounter on the road. On the 18/01/2007 I was traveling on the PIE(towards Changi Airport) and exited at Stevens Road exit. After being in the exit lane traffic came to a halt. There was a Mitsubishi black Grandis which had its driver(in a blue shirt) put on his MPV's hazard lights and then walked to a Mazda RX-8 behind the Grandis. The driver of the Grandis started pushing the RX8 to the side of the road to allow traffic(which also consisted of a SBS bus) to pass the narrow road. Apparently, the RX-8 suffered mechanical difficulties and the Grandis's driver parked his MPV in front of the RX-8 to gave him a hand. In a society of "Me" and "Mine", it was heartening to see another driver help another. Cheers on you, the driver!

A large "8" on the right hand side of the rear of the Grandis.. font is similar to the black 8 ball commonly found on pool tables. Just 8 nothing else..

With all the horns, glares and cutting ins.. it was nice for a change that a driver went out of his way to help another driver. Most of the other drivers had the gall to slow down and STARE! Comon, the RX-8 was disabled and it's not like if we stare hard enough, we could figured out what happened! The driver of the Grandis sure seemed to push as hard so that the RX-8 could go near the edge of the road.. Not exactly easy work for a gent dressed in working attire to break a sweat in the mornings.. was nice to know that helpful drivers do exist!

indicating it can take 8 people in the grandis, sticker similar to that pickup or lorry truck
