Vit4wd 1st Gear March 2, 2007 Share March 2, 2007 How is the Harrier's exterior different from the RX300? Harrier's Fake Lexus Steering Wheel ('L' logo looks really plastic & fake plus no audio control on steering wheel) http://www.sgcarmart.com/main/info-2AOWVYBC-501.html Genuine RX300 Lexus Steering Wheel (chrome 'L' logo) http://www.sgcarmart.com/main/info-2AWR3s16-1175.html The above Harrier has no mirror on the front left bonnet. Did they remove it? Any other tips on how to spot a fake Harrier 2.4 in Lexus RX300 guise? ↡ Advertisement

Chemz Clutched March 2, 2007 Share March 2, 2007 there are many ways, though some harriers have gone a step further to disguise certain traits: distinguishing factors: -left kerb mirror of harriers(quite easily removed though) -6 spoke harrier rim vs 5 spoke lexus rim -look at the windows for manufacturer logo(toyota vs lexus print) -road tax disc -no. plate, lexus(pursuit of relentless perfection) vs PI no. plate -interior steering wheel logo(quite easily rebadged too) -rear wheel differential at undercarriage for lexus(4wd) vs 2wd harrier. for me i usually just take a look at the rims can tell leow. 5 vs 6 very prominent. but anyway, if a driver wants to rebadge his harrier to the limit, it's possible. lol

Curahee 1st Gear March 2, 2007 Share March 2, 2007 Really steady these ppl, utilize all effort and money to hoax ppl to believe tat what they drive is a lexus.
Christan Turbocharged March 2, 2007 Share March 2, 2007 My friend (formerly used car salesman) said some buyers buy these cars and change the logo on the car to Lexus type. The Lexus logo cost abour $30. Knowing they can't buy the real Lexus, this is to make them feel 'rich'.

Silhoutte Clutched March 3, 2007 Share March 3, 2007 Feel rich? If wanna really feel rich, its better to own 3 condos and 1 semi-detached house to do so... Having a car only means that you bear a liability for convenience in transport thats all... Really dunno whats wrong with these ppl...
Azarael Clutched March 3, 2007 Share March 3, 2007 the harrier is a good car but i am amazed at how people are willing to fake all their badges and pretend to be something that the car is not. it's just so fake. it's like saying you are very pretentious.. i was considering getting a RX 300 at one time but the fake harriers on the road kinda put me off a bit. if i were to get a harrier, i'll keep my badges as they were. no need to be a "wannabe" , it's so malu when u give people a ride, those in the know will think that u can't afford it so u pretend u can afford it. fortunately, lexus and toyota will in the future not share models as lexus is going to be stand alone in its products. Zze121 3rd Gear March 3, 2007 Share March 3, 2007 Ppl can tell u rich or not, but owning one is good enuff whether is T or L, their workmanship/design/engine is still better than other brand. It's just mindset on how ppl look at you. ↡ Advertisement
