Trying to reduce weight, I guess ? Nevethemind, who cares about weight nowadays ? People who change to alloy wheels are more into the look than reducing weight. Correct me if I am wrong but I think that some alloys are probably same weight or not heavier than the original steel rims. Me for one tried the weight difference between my steel rim and the new alloy wheel which I bought from the shop and found that lifting the two, there were hardly any difference !

Actually, this is nothing new in the US...all the DUB Hummers all have those 33" rims that bling like no one's business...

It's pointless but i guess it's just some fashion and status symbol..you knowa the US culture la, do all sorts of pointless things but somehow we asians also start following haha...but ya, these rims on a Hummer is pointless, it's a HUMMER...this one 28", not the biggest rims there are for the H2, there's even bigger ones and only one tyre maker makes tyres this size...
