Are there any stand alone GPS modules available?

Hi guys,

 

My friend has a Toyota Axio and it comes with a factory fitted touch screen LCD monitor in the center console.

 

He is toying with the idea of an aftermarket GPS which can be connector to the touch screen LCD, are there any stand alone GPS modules availiable?

 

He has a preference for one which uses a Garmin map as its FOC from malsing.

I'm using the VITAS standalone. Costs ard $1.2k. Linked to my pioneer 6850DVD.

 

SG & MSIA map with speed cam warning n etc...

Below 1K, buying a windscreen mounted unit is his last option as he prefers it to be connected to the LCD.
