Sgnick 1st Gear May 11, 2007 Share May 11, 2007 I have another question regarding COE price and resale value of cars. If I buy a 1.6L car for $50K with $10K COE, and if the COE just keeps going up and up until $20K by June, or maybe $25K by Sept and the same car is being sold new for $65K then, will it affect the resale vaue of my car? ↡ Advertisement
Mtoh Neutral Newbie May 11, 2007 Share May 11, 2007 of course it does affect the resale value. i have known that in the 90's ppl actually make money from selling their rides when the COE is going up sharply. those with -ve equity on their current ride, and want to get rid of the heavy commitments, these few months might just be the right time to sell. Good luck. !!!
Lengendcf 1st Gear May 11, 2007 Share May 11, 2007 For sellers not much differences la. The ones that stand to gain are those 2nd hand car dealers..

Sanjiviraj Neutral Newbie May 14, 2007 Share May 14, 2007 Hi guys, New to forum here. Just wanted to share some good news. Got my COE from PI on the fourth attempt which is according to agreement. 4 bid guaranteed COE. Mine was Cat A for Axio. So I guess its all about patience and waiting lar. I think mostly they will manage to get the COE for us but depending on our timeframe also. Luckily I wasn't rushing for the car and just waited it out. Booked it just after CNY. Waiting for my ride. Should be in within 2 weeks. cheerzz.

Lg3312g Neutral Newbie May 14, 2007 Share May 14, 2007 My PI promised me my Suzuki Swift in one weeks time.I hope he bid for me successfull this week! Can't wait to drive my little white pocket rocket on the road. I think the COE will drop a little this week. There is no demand for the past few weeks. Good luck to you...yes! believe the COE price should be quite stable for now and less buying now due to the increase in $$$$$$. Do enjoy your ride but do drive safe too
