CTE jam today...can someone tell me why?

you know this CTE is very strange...even that there is no accident, if you enter to CTE from 0630hrs to 1030hrs every morning, the jam will appear.....usually start after from AMK Ave 5 to Braddle exit...somewhere near the entrance towards PIE/Changi or Jurong

 

really don't know why...?? why car driver been driving so slow during these roads...and after PIE exit, it's smooth traffic all the way to tunnel

i took a risk, and noticed that traffic isn't that heavy.

I heard last time CTE starts getting jam at 715am.

 

Ever since the ERP charges increased, it starts getting ham at 630am.

 

Is it that bad?

 

U are right. Whenever i take my OPC car out to reach office by 7am, the CTE traffic is oredi very busy by then. Just nice to the point of "not need to stop-start-stop-start". Once after 7am....liao....the usual super jam start liao...until 9+am.

JAM from AMK becos car feeding into CTE, JAM until PIE becos car feeding out to PIE. Slowdown usually not becos of accidents but becos cars feed in and feed out, changing lane and slowing down. Smooth traffic to tunnel becos no more feeder roads into or out of CTE.

haha...weekend even worst, esp when abt 1pm to 3pm, sometimes before AMK ave 5 jam all the way to PIE entrance...then via versa, when comes evening..is jam the other way...from Kg Java tunnel all the way till AMK 3/5

it's common for CTE to jam in the morning, the ERP charges can let u take MRT to ur work place and go home.

Exactly! there was one stretch last time that was clear..shocked was the word.. But it didnt last long..a jam further up

That was not a jam.....

 

I had some Thai friends in my car before, driving along CTE and I complained that it's jammed. They looked at me and laugh.... they said, "this is not a jam.... this is slow moving traffic"...... I started laughing..... I was stuck in a jam in Bangkok, I drove.... sat in the car and waited, and wait... and waited..... smoke a couple of cigarettes and waited... finally started moving 1.5 hours later..... and there was no accident ahead....

Oh yes... Bangkok traffic is a pain in the arse compared to CTE.

 

I think taking their MRT is way faster during peak hour.

CTE is always jam. I gave up travelling on the CTE during peak hours. Try and go in early at 7am.. ALSO jam.
