icic....sorry if i am a bit blur...haha keyless entry is the device at is attach to your car key with buttons that when is is press will auto lock and unloch the car one is it?

Keyless Entry is Start Car and Lock/Unlock Car without using Key.....

haha i think i got it all confused... the punto that i am getting has to insert the key to lock and unlock the car. i am thinking of install the "remote control" thingy so that i dun have to insert my car key each time to get in... is it costly?

Assume u're refering to central locking? For punto 1.2 make sure TTS give u e blue key w button. Regarding ur concern w parts, there are aftermarket avail at shops & workshops that does Alfa & Lancia. Pricewise is really up to how u chat them up from my (limited) exp. I too had e mentality back then that a conti will burn my pocket, but fact is when compared to popular Jap makes, some stuffs & svc can be so much cheaper.

 

Anyway e 1.2 is an exciting ride, though i only had it as a courtesy car for 1-wk. Potential to mod is there but it's not e common Jap/Kor mods, and mods are not that costly unless u insist on all-Italian original parts.

Thanks LPATE, howverethe punto i am getting is a 2nd hand on. The dealer say dun have theremote control thingy. I saw the key with FIAT logo, however no button......

They will tell u key has to be cut at Italy and takes 1-2 mths bahbahbah... Just tell them u're really keen to take e car but u need them to throw it e key and do not mind waiting for it to come in. Else pay downpayment for e key. Not sure bout e damage but for e GP 1.4 is at around $270 key alone and $50 for labour and coding.

 

Key-wise not sure but aftermaket but all AD are about e same. When r u getting e car?

Fiat cars has two key each.

One with remote, while the second one don't.

 

Just tell them you need two keys..or they have to pay for second key with remote from TTS.

Getting it next tuesday. Thanks for the valuable tips. Now I know it has two keys. Will call the dealer first thing in the morning to bug him for one. Any important things i need to take note when collecting the car next tuesday?

GP owner here. Make sure u get e records of e svcing done for this car. Just to share as my balls r a bit small, i'll bring it to a specialist workshop to do a routine check incase TTS did not take care of e car at all. Believe many will be against such a suggestion. Rem it's now a liability under u, wanna play safe or gamble e trust for e AD?

 

Old school recomendation: for a start try to control ur revs, might be too easy for u to exceed speed limit. After u master e italian style of driving, bring it up to NSH to clear carbon and enjoy from there on

 

U'll find poisons in e club forum but as of any forums, consider properly b4 u heed for any advise on e mods. Anyway i'm low profile inside there and only go for cheapo mods.

The dealer should bear the cost of the second car keys.

You should take over a car with two keys. One remote & one manual.

Always insist this.

btw, you get make the remote car key from TTS.

280 bucks. wait 2-3 weeks .

 

They have to reset both key code.
