Jc777 Neutral Newbie September 12, 2007 Share September 12, 2007 thanks everyone for your suggestions. the ECP route is the fastest.ECP->AYE->NUH might be the fastest route, but which entrance to ECP would make a difference. one way you might want to try is PIE(bedok res)->exit at kallang->turn left at spore casket->if before 8am, go under ERP at crawford st, else turn right at beach road and go into ECP at ophir. this first half of the journey should be faster than ECP all the way from xilin ave. even if you fail to reach the crawford gantry before 8am, ophir gantry would be 50cents flat between 8-9am, compared with $1.8-2.5 at tanjong rhu gantry. my colleague tried out and commented that PIE not as congested as ECP comparing the same time of travel. do feedback if anybody tried this route. ↡ Advertisement
Scoots 3rd Gear September 12, 2007 Share September 12, 2007 thanks everyone for your suggestions. the ECP route is the fastest. Yup... and if a jam seems to be building up on the ECP, can take the Each Coast Part service road ... can go steadily to Ford Rd exit
Icekitten Clutched September 12, 2007 Share September 12, 2007 Definitely ECP-AYE-NUH exit. I ever took this route on a Sat afternoon with smooth traffic and it took me less than half an hour to get from Tampines to NUH. Entered by Xilin Ave. So even on peak hour and heavy traffic, would probably still be less than an hour.
Gearoil 1st Gear September 12, 2007 Share September 12, 2007 If you say that it takes less than an hour to reach a destination ( one way ) then ANY where in the morning also can reach within AN HOUR. But the truth of the matter is, the jams nowadays is super heavy during peak hours( that is why the new gantries are springing up ALL over the place ). Although the route suggested by you is the best, the better answer is to avoid using CTE , PIE and minimise the use of smaller side roads. Disclaimer : you will find that there are days, even when you take the suggested route , you'll find that it will take more than an hour to reach from Tampines to NUH if there happen to be an idiot(s) that crashed his/her cars at Lane 1 or 2 on the express way! Icekitten Clutched September 12, 2007 Share September 12, 2007 Well, TS said he takes at least an hour ma.... Although the route suggested by you is the best, the better answer is to avoid using CTE , PIE and minimise the use of smaller side roads. You very funny leh...doesn't this equate to using ECP-AYE? Minimise use of small roads means use expressways. From Tampines, don't take PIE, can't use CTE. Can't use BKE, or KJE. Unless you want to go one extra big round and take TPE-ECP-AYE. Wah...all the "E"... Disclaimer : you will find that there are days, even when you take the suggested route , you'll find that it will take more than an hour to reach from Tampines to NUH if there happen to be an idiot(s) that crashed his/her cars at Lane 1 or 2 on the express way! Any road is the same la, got accident then habis liao. ↡ Advertisement
