How to change drum brake?

Hi guys,been hearing ppl say need to change brake pad.how to change a drum brake?In the first place,does it have brake pad?How much to replace one and at what interval?

Drums brakes is change brake shoes.. And for period for it to be replaced, i not very sure. Mine 3yrs plus still quite thick according to my mechanic.. Haha..

for my previous car, i change brake shoe on 2nd change of brake pad. cos most of the braking power is from the front brakes. rear brakes not so much effect on the braking.

i cant really remember... i believed it was 160k when i changed.

 

i usually take it as front brake pad change at every 80-100K, then on second 80-100k change front and rear.

 

but you let the mechanic evaluate if there is a need to change the brake shoe lah... usually waer on rear brake shoe much lesser than the front.

 

u doing the brake shoe change yourself? can be quite "siong" as need some special tools when getting the springs out. [sweatdrop]

Of cuz not changing myself.was wondering what's the cost and what's the interval of change.thanks anyway.
