Ahyoo2002 2nd Gear October 15, 2007 Share October 15, 2007 (edited) Hi all, Still in Hari Raya mood? No one asking about COE at all? Anyway, COE bidding starts again today: 1) No major event, execpt SGD has climb back to SGD1 = 80 JPY ver SGD 1 = 76 JPY during the sub-prime crisis. 2) Stock market still cheong like mad 3) COE for Cat B drop about $2.4k last round but it seems the focus is on Cat A where quite a few promo are targetting Cat A cars 4) Quite a few talk on car sales slow down due to lesser can de-registered, not very sure how true Edited October 15, 2007 by Ahyoo2002 ↡ Advertisement

Nus24 Neutral Newbie October 15, 2007 Share October 15, 2007 If basing on the trend where CAT.A will dip on every 6-7 bids, then the dip will come in the end Nov bidding exercise. But the general trend should be lower till end of the year. Then bonus and stock market cash-out will create liquidity for people to buy new car for CNY. Of course it seems that the trend is for buyers to wait till the AD drop price then book cars. I think many Singaporeans have grown to recognise this method to get 'cheaper' cars. If can wait, then wait for those special price reduction weekends.
Larrysoon Neutral Newbie October 15, 2007 Share October 15, 2007 Special reduction weekend, meaning the AD are giving special price or the COe drop liao then the price become special??

Ahyoo2002 2nd Gear October 15, 2007 Author Share October 15, 2007 Overall, based on the bidding ration, Cat A, B and E all have very low leftover bids. But now depend on how much orders dealers take in over the pass two weeks. I think high chance Cat A COE will still down base on the special promo of some make such as Mazda 3. Cat B maybe stable or slightly higher as for last bidding exercise, the COE for Cat B down by $2.4k which in turn should generate some interest for buying. Diamond2006 1st Gear October 15, 2007 Share October 15, 2007 in my opinion, All catA,B,E will go up at least >S$1k even though I hope it will really gp up... This is based on the sale record of past history and bonus at end of year, CNY, Christams ETC...

Diamond2006 1st Gear October 15, 2007 Share October 15, 2007 One thing I have learnt: sales of car does not alway tally with COE prices. The car sales in 2006 is Good, but COE is low.... the car sales in 2007 is not as good as 2006, but COE is going uptrend....
Larrysoon Neutral Newbie October 15, 2007 Share October 15, 2007 Mazda 3 very heavy car the FC not good. Yes no doubt it looks good but to own this car the cost will be high due to high FC and expensive maintenance. The new mazda 2 u try it before in japan very the nice. Looks ok the FC according to my friend in Japan is not that bad so i thought it will be good to get it. Now the problem is AD for Mazda selling very for mazda 2 i wonder who want to buy man. ↡ Advertisement
