Hi Fsrkia,

I have bought a second fm transmitter after the first one broke from attaching and detaching the ipod cable too many times.

Have a look at the link I have put in.

I am using the Digital FM Transmitter and the sound is much clearer (due to the Clear FM technology) than my previous FM transmitter. This is an older version of what Kensington had offered now, Liquid FM.

You do have to adjust the volume higher than usual when you are listening to the Ipod.

If your headunit supports RDS, you should look at this too.

Its come with ClearFM, QuickSeek and RDS functions all in one transmitter. Very neat!.

Anyways, the only setback is the cigarette butt sockets are usually found near the gearstick and far below the eye level. When it comes to synchronising the FM channel using the quick seek technology, you will have to tilt yourself down to look at the channel it has been tuned to before setting your Radio channel.

In this sense, its not a good design and they should have made the display facing upwards towards the roof. This would have solved the problem.

If you do not need the charging function for ipod, you may look also at Belkin's FM transmitters.

Cheers,

Tommy

Hi Rpm,

How much is the Harman Kardon Drive + Play Ipod Control system?

In my opinion, I believe the price is close to an average brand new HU with Ipod compatibility.

Cheers,

Tommy

Its especially irritating when the batteries are a little weak... distortion starts to kick in and irritate the hell out of anyone :)

And batteries seem to deplete at an alarming rate
