Neutral Newbie

Hi, All

4 weeks ago when I drive along my mazda 3 05/06 model along highway at 90km/hr, the orange "engine" light came up twice, the rev meter goes to zero, but after 5 sec, my car restarted by itself, so I stop by roadside for 5 min with my engine "ON", the engine die after awhile. so, I go and restart my car, It started.

I went to Mazda Workshop at Alex the next day for servicing and request them to check for this symptom, they said everything were OK. 2 weeks later, my car unable to start, I tow it to nearby workshop at HLH Tyre Woodlands, the mechanic check with his program panel and found crank sensor trouble code, BTW when the car towed to his place, the engine started, so the mechanic basically did not witness the stalled condition and he replace a pair of sensors for me cost me $390.

2 days later, my car stalled again, strong cranking sounding, but unable to start, this time I call the mechanic from Woodlands and this time he witness the problem, so he bring along his program panel and plug it into ecu connection and run for trouble code. No trouble code found, he ask me to tow to Mazda.

Next day Mazda told me, it could be the fuel pump issue, BTW, when the car reach Mazda in the afternoon, it can be started, so they did not witness the stalled condition, they made this comment, they want to charge me $920 not include workmanship and GST, so I towed it back to Woodlands, and he change for me $680 all inclusive ( I feel dam ex. even at this price).

2 days later, my car unable to start which is last Saturday night 4th June at west coast, I apply leave on 6th June, morning, when I reach my car, i am able to start my car at first attempt (btw, when the car can start, always the first attempt). So, I am wary to drive, i follow the tow car to Mazda and tell them I have change fuel pump and crank sensor. They promise to check for me. Unfortunately, the car still perform every start attempt so they are still unable to witness the car, until today 7th June, i about to collect my car at mazda workshop, it won't start, i was "happy" that i can finally show them the problem, i insist to speak to the manager to look into the problem. They told me, they have check every thing, and all are OK, where the intermittent only could due to the ECU or the wiring. I am not sure if they know what is the ECU functions are ? and how could a ECU could cause intermittent starting of engine?

What is your opinion, my friend, I am almost crying out, should I sell, who wants, If I don't, what can I do. They told me the ECU cost 4.5K and hardness wire cost 2K. Insane ? [bigcry]

BTW, @ 1 year old, the engine started some funny squeezing sound when with the air-con on, the mechanic say he hear nothing, I bear with it, 3.5 years, my auto air-con broke down, and always stay @25.5C, no matter how I turn the knob, I bear with it, replacement cost on the PCB, $1.7K, after 4 year, my 2 windows can't wind down, to change the motor $280 each, i bear with it. BUT.... not this one..

Please advise
