Hi guys,

1. I've seen street cars fitted with smaller wheels for front and bigger wheels for rear? For example, 16" wheels for front and 17" wheels for rear.

2. What exactly are the purposes of doing so? Are there real benefits?

Thanks.

Regards,

1. I see. Thanks for the info. Do you know why?

2. Does it mean for FWD, can use larger wheels for front and smaller wheels for rear?

Neutral Newbie

Some motorcycle has small wheels front and fat wheels rear.

It gives a very macho stance!

Actually my suzuki swift also fitted with wider wheels rear.

Rim size same and rubber diameter same as well.

Not much performance gain. Just want to be different.

1. don't know.. [sweatdrop] my technical aspect of car is very poor.. [mad]

2. nope. never seen a FWD using different rim size yet. IIRC, MR-S, a rear wheel drive, in stock, come with bigger rear rim size. i think it come down to safely reason.
