as above? I intend to insualte the stock air filter box so that it won't be easily heated up by the engine bay. Any recommendations what materials, and what to get and the cost as well?

Go to North East Refrigeration at 35 Ubi Crescent and buy Armaflex sheet.

Then glue over the air box.

But seriously, you don't need to worry about the air heating up inside. It moves so fast, it doesn't have time to stay inside and get warmed up.

i think lah is lidat... bigger space for bay = lower suction head/ pressure . restricting to one section not necce is good unless it is totally leakproof. if it is not then pressure differential will force heat into the lower pressure region, heat flow in and get trapped inside the very place u wanna to prevent.

sorry, need to borrow this thread cause not authorize to start new ones.

any idea where to get the heat reject wrap that goes around the battery in the hot engine bay ? understand that this helps to minimize the possibilty of battery bulging due to heat.

thanks in advance.

You may end up with more heat problem - hot air will get trap inside the warpping. Best is to get more air to circulated pass the battery.
