Dear Guru,

need some help, installed unichip Ver Q at chuan lee hin last week.

My car now stalled occassionally when stop at traffic light.

Idling seems abit low 500-600.

Yesterday at a speed of 80km, accelerate, rpm up but the speed cannot go up and the car jerking. faster let go accelerator and back to normal again.

Is the turner tune my car till too "rich" (Too much fuel?)

thanks

Yes, using E-throttle, CVT gear box.

Will difinitely go back to look for them.

Dissapointed with the turner,

waited for 3.5hours and took 20 minutes to tune till like that.

Hi Bro,

From what I know, the tuning should not last for 20 min nia.

Did you off road tune or on road tune? it makes a great difference?

Did you dyno before and after?

20 Minutes? Wow.... that's totally impossible dude.

What are the dyno figures before and after.. in terms of torque and BHP?

What AFR and ignition timing?

Looks like this guy cheen chai lai!

Bloo--y hell, just down on the way home engine stalled 4 times, crank atleast 6-7 times then can start. 2 month old car only, tune till like that.

HOW HE TUNED:

The tuner tune in the workshop first by reving the car till red line.

Then i follow him out, he kept redline the car and drove in a very dangerous manner and stop at road side a couple of time to tune with his lap top.

Then he ask me to drive and immediatey i can felt the can is more responsive.

Then we drove back to the work shop- whole process lasted 20 minutes.

But funny leh, drive from last Monday, only yesterday have this problem [hur]

They did not ask me to do the dyno test leh, so don't know the gain before and after.

Acyually they sell the unichip, the tuner is a freelance.

tall lanky guy (abt 174cm) with curly hair, fair complexion and smoke "DRUM"

What is his name? As far as I'm concerned, Unichip's policy for tuning has always been for dyno tune.

If the problem only happened recently, I suspect it's an installation issue. Did they solder the Unichip wires to your ECU or simply strip, twist the copper wires together then black tape?

Bro,

i used this work shop as i actually brought the unichip from autodesign and installed in my old ride. Did not go back to them as keep telling me no slot etc, and charged me $280 for installed an tune.

Chuan lee Hin i choose them as the below link give good feedback about them ans they also charged $30 cheaper and have slot. So go there and kana thie type of problem/.

unlucky man.

How did he tune your car?

No dyno i reckon?

Road tune? With wideband O2 sensor in your exhaust?

If neither of the above, pls forget about going back. It's not the proper way.

These "tuners" are just out to make a quick buck. Put some generic settings and hoping for the best.

Did you check with anyone in the forum coz you didn't update us after your initial post. think you better warn the bros over there as well.

If BIGBOAR drives a Sienta, it gets even more exciting. Why? This is because, if the tuner knows no shiet, the tuning will be reverted to default in a bat of an eyelid as the Toyota ECU is too clever for itself.
