Fuel consumption drops drastically after polishing ride

Hey forum mates,

 

after sending my car for polishing, can feel that the whole car is very smooth

 

what is interesting is that my FC is better! increment of 1.5km/litre.

 

I'm 100% sure its not an illusion and i travel exact same pattern as compared to the previous time,

 

what is your take on this?

If the better FC is due to the smoother external surfaces of the car then this is something just short of a miracle........ very hard to believe and I take it with a very large dose of salt.

U should enquire what kind of wax he used on your car.

He is saying his fuel efficiency improves after polishing.

 

So your statement on the smoother surface less drag thingy is what he is trying to find out.

 

But I also believe less drag will improve fuel efficiency.

i won't say its smoother or more powerful, but FC is really favorable.

I'm driving a picnic, maybe thats why the aerodynamic drag thing is even more significant.

yes i really understand wat u mean.

 

it seems highly exaggerated and i'm not one who is particularly bothered by FC cos i'm driving a fuel guzzler anyway (resigned to fate)

actually it happened to me too.... did polish, wax and sealant myself... then FC went up, even though there are full load in my car during the CNY.... (usually only wife and baby).... driving pattern no change.. even rev a few time...

 

usu 16 to 17km/l..... that day pump, went to 19km/l.... a bit unbelievable also.... mabbe is the pump??? dunno.... i a bit cynical also la.....

 

so know observing current tank.....but car a bit dirty liao...

Can i know anyone tried such promotion before? Is it a gimmick?

 

I just wan to go one time to polish for my next polishing schedule.
