Friendstar Supercharged February 15, 2008 Share February 15, 2008 Hey forum mates, after sending my car for polishing, can feel that the whole car is very smooth what is interesting is that my FC is better! increment of 1.5km/litre. I'm 100% sure its not an illusion and i travel exact same pattern as compared to the previous time, what is your take on this? ↡ Advertisement
Nutty 4th Gear February 15, 2008 Share February 15, 2008 I think it's optical illusion... Go for a few tank more before you conclude.
Junjie 1st Gear February 15, 2008 Share February 15, 2008 maybe your polisher took yr ride out for a blow carbon spin therefore now ride become "smoother"
Dipstick Neutral Newbie February 15, 2008 Share February 15, 2008 If the better FC is due to the smoother external surfaces of the car then this is something just short of a miracle........ very hard to believe and I take it with a very large dose of salt. Watwheels Supersonic February 15, 2008 Share February 15, 2008 (edited) edited. U should enquire what kind of wax he used on your car. Edited February 15, 2008 by Watwheels
Megaweb Clutched February 15, 2008 Share February 15, 2008 becoz' you feel good, you tend to speed faster . Thus FC drops .
Robin 4th Gear February 15, 2008 Share February 15, 2008 same. when i wax it, my FC improved a bit i guess it b/c of the "better" areodynamics
Perrier 1st Gear February 15, 2008 Share February 15, 2008 You misread his post. He is saying his fuel efficiency improves after polishing. So your statement on the smoother surface less drag thingy is what he is trying to find out. But I also believe less drag will improve fuel efficiency. Friendstar Supercharged February 15, 2008 Author Share February 15, 2008 ermmmm Fuel Consumption drops = consumes less fuel. If my thread has offended you, I apologize.
Friendstar Supercharged February 15, 2008 Author Share February 15, 2008 maybe your polisher took yr ride out for a blow carbon spin therefore now ride become "smoother" in that case I realy dont mind! i won't say its smoother or more powerful, but FC is really favorable. forum bros, do give it a try and share with us. I'm driving a picnic, maybe thats why the aerodynamic drag thing is even more significant.
Friendstar Supercharged February 15, 2008 Author Share February 15, 2008 Thanks for explaining on my behalf.

Can i know anyone tried such promotion before? Is it a gimmick?
