The issue with the American musclecars is that a lot of them are only fast in the straight line, and the handling is nowhere near the Japanese or conti cars. It's really brute force philosophy. And then... given the same engine capacity, the Japanese can really squeeze a lot more performance out of every litre...

Just my two cents...

and it'll be rubbish...now they're going FI for more BHP per liter...i remembered back then the 7L v8 can only produce like 500 odd BHP? and of course...its a PUSHROD engine...thats sooo outdated...handling as well...LEAF SPRINGS...WTH??!! spend so much $$ on other parts like CF and big brakes etc and they left out the suspension...after all the caronb parts etc weighing @ 1500+KG is still very heavy...even heavier than the old E46 M3...which didnt had any carbon parts @ all(excluding the M3 CSL)

I am not quite sure about that cos I have seen on Discovery Channel where in the show of the best of America vs Europe, wherein a Covette tested against a Ferrari 430 and the Covette accels better, is faster in the track, faster top speed and only lost to the Ferarri on braking but only cos the Ferarri driver used two feet to stomp on the pedal!
