Creative_tec 2nd Gear February 18, 2008 Share February 18, 2008 Hi Guys, My front 2 tyres are worn out by the sides due to too much "cornering" but my back 2 tyres are still looking good. So i need to change the back 2 tyres to the front and i will need to do alignment. Is there any shop in AMK that can do alignment fast as i have allocated an hour (3-4pm) to do this before i rush back to office. Thanks ↡ Advertisement
Bearbear1494 Clutched February 18, 2008 Share February 18, 2008 Plenty of workshops in AMK Autopoint. May take a little more than a hour if you have to wait for the customer(s) ahead of you. Need to rotate tires, do off-wheel balancing for the (now)front tires, adjust alignment, test drive to check alignment.
Cheerios Neutral Newbie February 19, 2008 Share February 19, 2008 u might want to invest in a camber bolt... it allows the mechanic to adjust your camber angle to a negative one.. so that tyre wheel @ the sides are not so much and more complete tyre wear is achieved. Kenny's Wheel Alignment Address : 10, AMK Autopoint #04-15, Ang Mo Kio Industrial Park 2A, Singapore 568047 Telephone : 9092 1015 Services: Repair and Service Look for him and book in advance.. he only need 30 mins.. but u might need to book 1-2 weeks in advance... he is damn good and cheap... Roberttan 5th Gear February 20, 2008 Share February 20, 2008 since you said to much of conering?so do less conering your problem will be solved. anyway your tyre eat oneside especially the outer part?,yes it is due to fast cornering and also could be your everyday go up and down the multi storey car park the worst. by putting camber bolt is not for your kind of problem. camber bolts is to be for car who had lower the car suspension than you can use it to (minimise) the camber problem otherwise yr tyre eat inside. if you are sitting on stock susp, just do a alignment will do. If the excessive wearing on outside is due to usage i stated above. by doing a regular tyre rotate and balancing(x4) you can equalise the all 4 tyre wear MHO
Nirxe Clutched February 20, 2008 Share February 20, 2008 I agree. That's why I would not recommend the TS to patronize the shop. You have to change your schedule to fit Kenny's appointment schedule most of the time based on my experience.
Ah_liang Clutched February 20, 2008 Share February 20, 2008 Side track, my steering vibrates after 120km/hr. Can anyone recommend workshop that does high speed balancing plus alignment?

Duvall 1st Gear February 20, 2008 Share February 20, 2008 Anyone who's into performance will know that Kenny IS THE alignment guru. Imagine a whole shop that does NOTHING except alignment. There may be others ALMOST as good as he is. But I have not encountered anyone BETTER. At least not yet, in my 12 years of track and performance enhancement experience. Look at his schedule board in his shop and you'll know how highly sought after he is. He's a must visit before and/or after any aggressive track session. A tip.... Ask him when's the next scheduled calibration of his machine and make an appointment after that. That's when the machine is most accurate.

Roberttan 5th Gear February 21, 2008 Share February 21, 2008 like this than you can install the camber bolt which and help to reduce the makan 1 side, but you must get your car to have very alignment adjust after camber bolt and remove it if u decided to goback stock spring. as for yr MSCP so lan lan just do rotation regularly if u want to also can ask yr tyre shop to reverse yr tyre inside out(no all tyre and tyreshop can do) just MHO
