Mivec9 1st Gear April 9, 2008 Share April 9, 2008 M3 is one powerhouse! From my trips to MY, this ride always impress me
Kelpie 2nd Gear April 9, 2008 Share April 9, 2008 Picnic would be a good choice for passenger comfort and for climbing Gentings. But being a Toyota MPV, some may find it a popular target among thief. Just be alert and practice common sense, should be alright. Enjoy . Regards,

Friendstar Supercharged April 9, 2008 Author Share April 9, 2008 Bro thanks for the vote of confidence. I would prefer ya civic 1.8 though Picnic is 2litre but heavy. mazda 3 is 1.6 but also quite heavy. both = powerless

Kelpie 2nd Gear April 9, 2008 Share April 9, 2008 If those fully loaded 600cc ~ 850cc Kelisa can go up and down, I don't see why Mazda 3 or Picnic can't make it? Just take your time, no need to rush up and down. Regards,

I've gone up Gentings many times with my previous 1.6L Civic with 5 heads including the driver so I can tell you both cars certainly can make it, just a matter of patience. A little bit of skill counts too . Regards,

Kelpie 2nd Gear April 9, 2008 Share April 9, 2008 (edited) ok must drive at 2nd / 3rd gear? 1. I've not tried the 2L civic on Gentings but based on my ex-ride, I used D3 most of time when climbing as soon as the road is flater, I will shift back to D. D2 was also used but on a few occasions for very steep curves. 2. Civic has VTEC, quite handy in tackling uphill. If want extra surge of power, I would shift down to D3, depress the accelerator all the way, within seconds the car will have a burst of surging power to climb faster but doesn't last for too long on steep curves.
