I don't own a 1.2 but 1.3XG but heard 1.2XG is different in a no. of area.

1) Slight facelift. Back lamps are different. Slight changes here and there.

2) Back seat able to be folded and kept completely offering more space.

3) CVT

Fuel-wise should be almost same as mine, at best 14km/l.

It will be about 12.5-13km/l (50/50 city/highway).

Performance is good. I was able to cruise back and forth to KL for 3 times without a hitch for a 1.3l car.

Hi, 1.2XG is a new swift model. FC still ok. Half tank abt 300km (not forgetting fuel tank top heavy and bottom light). Performance quite ok too, but dun expect too much from 1.2l car. I can say a very decent ride.

For a small car with climatic control & keyless entry, I can say very good..

If u hv 1, log into swiftclub... Lotsa discussion over there!!

1.2 will always be a 1.2, so don't expect much in term of power, torque or fast acceleration. If you are looking for cheap thrill of good torque and fast pickup then hard braking, this is not the car for you. If you are looking to own the roads and highways, this is not the car for you.

On the other hand, if you are looking for a smooth ride, smooth auto transmission gear shift, low rev at cruising speed of 80-100 (Usually hover <> 2k rpm), and don't mind other cars overtaking you on acceleration once the traffic light turn green, this is your car.

Overall, its nice low budget car with climate control air condition, keyless entry and a Digital Fuel Consumption calculator at the clock area. Not the most fuel efficient car, my average FC is between 11-12, that's mainly due to the fact I'm on 17" rims and heavy boot. The rest of the 1.2 owners whom I know hover around that range too.

There is a service recall in japan for 1.2 due to ECU and CVT reprogramming. Do check with your PI and ensure it has been serviced before importing in.

Hope my post didnt come too late.

Cheers,

Agreed with Ingen. Though poor at low end, high end is quite gd.. Very pleased with this car as a whole, esp with the technology incorporated for a mere 1.2 which is hard to come by, and usually for a bigger cc car.

My FC also hover ard 12.5km/hr though only 15" rim but slight hard-footed.

Holistically, its a car worth buying!!
