Lost birth certificate (question)

I lost my birth certificate and need to get a replacement.

Do I need to make a police report (like IC)?

How long does it take to get a new copy?

 

Mine was the old type-written version and was issued more than 30 years ago.

Do they keep my birth info. in ICA?

 

Would appreciate inputs from people who have been in such a situation.

Went there a few years back, remembered it was very crowded at Lavender and difficult to

find a parking lot.

 

Any traffic conditions, ERP and alternative car parks to take note?

Or is it better to park the car somewhere and take the MRT?

park opposite HDB multi-story carpark at jellico lane /road. Coupon parking, then walk 5 mins via mrt underground pedestrian crossing... save on the waiting at the immigration open air carpark.

 

Is our I.C not be sufficient? What situations warrant the need for our birth cert?
