Lots of mosquitoes lately

kena bitten by mosquitoes for the past few days ... phew!

 

just wanna find out if this is nationwide mosquito attack???

I think it might be due to the massive amount of air-con being used. Many air conditioner units actually have a plate that traps condensed water, thus become a great breeding ground for mosquitoes.

Not foolproof but it's scary how many dead mosquitoes I clear from these units every week...

 

Don't forget to do the rounds around your home to ensure there are no mosquito breeding sites. Can't inspect your neighbours' homes, unfortunately.

Yep it's a war zone out here. Mosquito borne diseases include Dengue, chikungunya, Malaria, and the first two are prominently in the news these days.

 

If a few dollars can lower the chances of someone in the family catching one of these, why not?
