Diver Neutral Newbie May 27, 2002 Share May 27, 2002 BEHOLD the most powerful production Golf ever: the 241-horsepower R32. The car's engine, a 3.2-litre V6, was first seen in the Beetle RSi. This engine will also be in the entry model of Volkswagen's luxury Phaeton model. It delivers 320 newton-metres of torque from 2,800rpm. The Golf R32 flies to 100kmh in 6.4 seconds and on to a top speed of 245kmh. Power is transmitted via a six-speed gearbox to all four wheels. The Golf sits very low and is shod with 18-inch wheels with 225/40 ZR tyres. Ventilated disc brake, with striking blue callipers are found on all wheels. The car will be hit retail outlets later this year. http://business-times.asia1.com.sg/motor/s...6,46232,00.html? ↡ Advertisement

Renegade Neutral Newbie May 27, 2002 Share May 27, 2002 (edited) Let me guess ... S$180K without COE! To take on the likes of the Cupra R perhaps ? Nonetheless, 180's a huge sum to pay for a souped-up Golf......wonder if a certain 4Motion owner would consider upgrading to this monster.....hmmmm..... Err...one more thing - what actually is the point of it ? Edited May 27, 2002 by Renegade ↡ Advertisement
