MB difficult to drive and you want a Maser Qporte?? I think in terms of ease of driving of driving, MB is much easier.

Bentley Continental

Or wait for Porsche Panamera, Aston Rapide

Yes but people notice the QP much more easily. Some well-heeled lady exec was parking it at the Ghim Moh CC car park and the droning engine made me sit up and scan the car park for the source of the music!

NO.

Split the problem into two to tackle it

Get a Coupe (Porsche) and a standard 4 door (5er)

Nope I wont. Cos its not particularly reliable & poor resale. The newer Meserati no longer have the ferrari engines but they have better gearboxes. Close to 400k for this car is not worth imho. Why not the CLS?

Maserati (whether Quattroporte or GTS) is going to be a connossieur's choice, compared to the usual suspects of S600, CLS63 AMG, 760Li, S8 or LS600h.

A Bentley Continental Flying Spur (4 door) will set you back another $250-300k. ... definitely only for the filthy rich.

Aston Rapide and Porsche Panamera are both still at least 2 years away. ... but will be around the price of the Bentley. The 612 Scaglietti (4 seats but only 2 doors) is even more expensive.

Actually for that price, there are not many exotic competition for a 4 door sports saloon. So, in that sense, the Quattroporte (literally mean "4 doors" in Italian) has no peers. If only they drop in the dual cluth gearbox of Ferrari California. Well, you can't have everything in life. The ZF 7 speeder is good enough i guess.

GO FOR IT!
