Galantspeedz Turbocharged September 24, 2008 Share September 24, 2008 Pls note that SGX has imposed a penalty of 5% (Min. $1,000) of contract value when you do naked short selling. Even if you accidently short, the penalty is still valid. For naked short-selling in the buy-in market, the penalty is $50,000 and/or banned from buy-in market. Dun anyhow key hor......... check first then sell............ ↡ Advertisement

Apollo 1st Gear September 24, 2008 Share September 24, 2008 if u fully clothed but forgod to zip up.. confirm u will be fined. short selling is a term to mean the punter lost everything. last time pple lost pants, lost sarong. now lost even more, shorts, underwear, panties, g-string, and wat hv u is not spared. so short until leave u naked. David Clutched September 24, 2008 Share September 24, 2008 What is buy-in market? Thank You.
Galantspeedz Turbocharged September 24, 2008 Author Share September 24, 2008 Buy-in is when people short and this short position is not covered back on the same day. So SGX will have to buy-in (means buying the share) to cover the client's short position. Prices will usually be few bids higher. So you have a much higher chance of selling your shares at a higher price in the buy-in market Happens at 11.45am i think. Hopefully my explaination is correct...
