Kangz 3rd Gear October 22, 2008 Share October 22, 2008 Your post reminded me of the time 4 years ago when I needed to rush to the hospital to see my aunt who's in critical condition (she didn't die that day, though she died a couple of days later). I was traveling above the speed limit at that time, and thankfully the drivers who saw me approaching from behind gave way. Every single one of them, and it's around 2pm in the afternoon so traffic isn't exactly light. I didn't need to horn or flash my lights at all.. Till today, I am still grateful to all those kind souls who gave way to me that day despite a very big P-plate on the windscreen Now whenever I am traveling in lane 1 and see a faster vehicle approaching from behind, I try to go to lane 2 no matter what speed I am at. Who knows if they need to attend to some important matters and desperately need to get to somewhere fast? Though someone suggested taking a helicopter if you are in emergency, that's more of a joke than a solution. I think some of the peeps here mistook what the others said. The reason why I like a powerful car is not that I can speed...its so that I can just overtake these type of hoggers and be on my way....less stressful than to be stuck behind them.
