laugh.giflaugh.giflaugh.gif Actually disregarding the OMV, i dare say it drives better than a 159 sweatdrop.gifsweatdrop.giflipsrsealed.gif Worth it for the composure, handling, comfort and steering. Seriously underrated in SG.

Wah....

Can i overwrite your statement..

Ford Mondeo USED to handle better then the old 159..

Not anymore with Q2 version of the 159s now selling in EA.

maybe wait a bit more, coe drop, car price also drop [laugh]

but tempted lah. Good car to drive and feel safe too.

I not speed demon, so no need super fast or fierce car like 159

The rare few Mk 1s around... hatch or sedan? Mine's a hatch... I must say that I think it still looks good after 10 years smile.gif ... and all I added was just a roof spoiler... wink.gif

it is a nice car definitely... thumbsup.gif

Yup. I actually prefer the mk 1 look to the new and the version before, both exterior and interior.

The Focus mk 1 aged very well, and has served me well.

Another option I have is to just let it serve it's 10 yr life. :)

Mine is 4year + already... but things are falling apart though sweatdrop.gif so thinking of changing. It does age very well... kind of like the old Astina nod.gif ... freshen the Astina up a little and it's not out of place among the current cars.

The new FL one (the mondy look one) is quite good looking too...

(edited)

yup better looking than the previous version, but the interior very squarish looking.

The leather seats are nice though.

Drive is still the same, underpowered but comfortable and good handling

What are you changing yr focus into ?

it is underpowered... but I bluefinned it and took over someone's Supersprint mid and rear so more driveable... on a hot day, it's still slow though sweatdrop.gif

I'm thinking of the Alfa 159 or new Saab 93... But bitten more by the serpent now laugh.gif

I'm also open to getting a good 2nd hand car as well... ranges from the E46 320 or 325s to Saabs to even Audi... 2nd hand 159s are virtually non-existent so that's why I am looking at a new one.

There is something about the Focus's design. It is really timeless. I have a '06 full bodykit MKII sedan focus and I don't seem to get tired of its design. Looks so fresh all the time. I might just keep it till the COE expires.

It is definitely a looker and a good car... The SA I spoke to mentioned that the higher road tax and poor FC are the 2 main reasons why people shunned away.

YOU ARE RIGHT!

MAIN BUGBEARS ARE HIGH FC AND ROAD TAX.

OTHERWISE, IT IS A SMOOTH SAILER, REALLY ENJOYABLE TO DRIVE.

ADVISE IS TO WAIT FOR HYBRIDS IN ABOUT 2 YRS TIME. ALL MAJOR CAR MAUFACTURERS WORLDWIDE ARE ROLLING NEW HYBRIDS OUT ABOUT 2010 ONWARDS
